I kind of like this, if I owned the land and the property were in a really good location or something, also like a zombie proof border wall and a three car garage with storage space.

Like if I could buy for cash and live zero expenses and save all my money for retirement

you goonlords realise the land itself is usually a large part of the overall value right

like yeah that little trailer is cheap but unless it's in bumfuck nowhere or something you're still shelling out quite a bit for the big open lawn to put it on and then you've still got to pay property taxes.

Sorry OP I live in a quiet area that's a walk to just about everything I need (food, meds, bar) and the train into the city and if anything i'm the neighbor everyone hates so my house life is loving awesome.

Oh and a nice media room with a bar upstairs lol at your trailer this space alone is like 1/2 that.

That's awesome until the trailer park owner sells to a developer and then you have to move your house.

It's unlikely since the trailer park is next a railway, crowded highway and also sewage treatment plant.

So worth $800 a month and 40k in hard cash to build the house

my friend lives outside of dc (not even in it) and pays 1.5k (half his income) for his 1bedroom/1bathroom apt and i cant imagine spending that much cash on such a small apt, it's absurd

hes trying to juggle pregrad student loans and is about to take on grad student loans and all i can think is how glad i am to not be that dumb with my money

he even lives with his gf and she doesn't pay for poo poo because she realizes how stupid the situation is and is wisely saving up her cash so she can bail when the time comes

Millennials are incapable of responsibilities or home maintenance. They don't have homes, families or children because they're incapable of committing to anything. They're bored immediately of their jobs, and where they live. The good thing is that there is video games, marijuana, and pornography which never quite fill the void of loneliness, but come close.

Take risks with your own money, money that you can afford to lose. Not money that will send you in to bankruptcy, and have collectors/ attorneys on your rear end for all eternity.
