The lack of power armour was a real waste of potential. It would have made for even more awesome action scenes, and fit with Paul Verhoeven's robot trend. It's weird that was left out. Also note the lack of any armour, artillery or aircraft other than the one-use dropships and the brief bombing scene. It's pretty underplayed military sci-fi, part of why I always wanted the Halo film to get off the ground. We still have not had a proper future military war film, even Edge of Tomorrow just followed the worn-out Vietnam style of only choppers + full-auto infantry. psyman fucked around with this message at 00:57 on Mar 2, 2015 |

Best part about that shower scene was that the cast all got together and said, "We'll only do this if the director gets naked too," so Verhoeven calls that bluff and walks out to the director's chair with nothing on but a grin.
