zimbomonkey's FO manager is going to do this better. I simmed 4 drafts in Madden last night. Only a couple of the goon QBs ever got drafted, and the rest of the players didnt even get signed as udfas, and were out of the roster after 3 seasons every time. Madden's sim engine is hot garbage without an actual create a player mode that lets you do more than one player. I'd have to create a franchise for every goon, and there's no fun in that.

wait, how did you add players into the draft? That isn't present in 15. Are you doing this in 25? Edit: Oh right, fantasy draft. I'm an idiot. So this can be done in FOF (I THINK). After my exams are over I'll give it a shot. I'll need to learn how to edit the draft classes. I'll have every goon enter as a rookie, and there's no way to guarantee high or low draft picks (or even that you're picked at all!). I would actually say there's a good chance we could open the game to a few more people, since I have to fill out an entire draft class. Of course, I could always just use this year's rookie class as well, but that might look weird when Amari Cooper is a 5th round pick because the randomizer sucks. Anyway, for now could someone compile a list of who we have playing so far so I can possibly start entering names quickly when (if) I get a down moment? zimbomonkey fucked around with this message at 00:18 on May 6, 2015 |

Front Office Football 7 is a professional football simulator for the PC. Rather than focus on things like graphics, gameplay, and sound design, however, FOF puts all of its muscle into things that other professional football games (none in particular, mind) mostly ignore: great simulation, customization, and more of a focus on the titular front-office aspects of the sport. Game Features (AKA what this game and Madden do differently):
So that's a brief overview of the biggest things setting this "game" apart. Now what you're waiting for: The continuation of Goons in the NFL! Now, a couple of questions: First, I believe it's possible for me to do one of two things: I can either A)have the goon players drafted before the 14-15 season or B)simulate the 14-15 season and have you drafted in the 2015 draft (I think these are both options. I haven't played a lot with the draft customization options yet). The other question is do we want week by week stat updates or season by season stat updates? Or (god forbid) do you want player highlights on a game by game basis? The writeups would probably be more entertaining for the latter, but they would definitely take longer. Also I'm visiting family until after memorial day, but I'll be working on this at nights so work will be slow until I get home. Hopefully I'll have the draft done by Friday or Saturday. In the meantime, decide amongst yourselves when you want to be drafted and what kind of updates you want.

Season round ups are more then enough IMHO.

Season overviews are probably for the best. Draftwise I'm fine with whatever. My only worry would be that adding a bunch of (at least I assume are going to be) high potential rookies to the most recent draft class could gently caress things up a tad.

Season overviews would be more than enough. Drafting time doesn't really matter to me either.

This is going to be a bitch to do. I didn't realize how hard it was to import people. It wants me to have the college version of the game too, which is no bueno. Trying to figure out a way around that. Always a way.

ALRIGHT SO I figured out a way to do this. Bad news is it's going to take a while. (Possibly) worse news: it isn't going to allow me to use the 2014 roster, only 2013 or before. Sorry to fans of Odell Beckham Jr, Mike Evans or Sammy Watkins, those are the only editable roster files available. So here's the process I'm looking at (it involves both Madden and FOF. Exciting!) 1. Download Madden Roster from 2013 2. Set up madden franchise with that roster. 3. Sim through entire season 4. View draft class 5. Use RNG alongside preferences to assign every player in the goon draft to a corresponding player in Madden Draft 6. Sim Draft in Madden 7. Take corresponding players in Madden draft and build them into roster in Front Office football, changing all names and info as appropriate. 8. Sim season in FOF. This is going to be a bitch of a process, so forgive me if it holds the draft up a bit.

This might work within Madden doing it this way, so I'm actually gonna try it there first. Then I won't have to deal with syntax in spreadsheet editors for hours. Anyway, here's a little something: Preseason Draft Projections! (Note: Added a few players after original assignments are completed to make sure we have interest in a few of the draft's top picks, and at lighter positions) Round 1 Pick 1- Cal Ripken Jr, QB, Maryland Pick 2 - Richard Kyanka, DT, Alabama Pick 3 - Gonad Ballbarian, WR, Johns Hopkins Pick 4 - Butt Head, QB, Morehead St Pick 5 - Randy Roughhouse, Texas A&M Pick 7 - Mister Wulf, LOLB, NCSU Pick 10 - Big McLargehuge, LOLB, Missouri Pick 14 - Shaq Shoulders, WR, Notre Dame Pick 18 - Geoff Peterson, QB, Mount Union Pick 19 - Zachary De La Fuenta III, T, Houston Pick 22 - Desmond Carter, CB, SUNY Albany Pick 23 - Vladimir Lenin, HB, Berkeley Pick 25 - Bobby Hill, HB, Texas Pick 28 - Jubs Mclinebacker, MLB, Bloomsburg Round 2 Pick 1 - Brick Largemeat, CB, Miami Pick 2 - Cam Stevenson, TE, Miami Pick 6 - Hockles, QB, Akron Pick 8 - Burning Hammer, CB ASIA-LIFE Pick 22 - NFL GENERIC, WR, Washington Pick 27 - Free Popdog, QB, Purdue Round 3 Pick 6 - Sexy Rexy, QB, Baylor Pick 11 - Hoover Fan, DT, UNC Pick 13 - Enn Arr-arr, WR, UAB Pick 25 - Don Dagga, HB, Miami Pick 30 - Lou Strombone, DE, SCSU Pick 31 - Slip Up, DT, Lane Pick 32 Lars Umlaut, DE, Maryland Round 4 Pick 2 - Daar Throwman, QB, North Dakota St Pick 8 - Athanatos, WR, Illinois Pick 15 - Detroit Dogg, HB, Kent St Pick 18 - Al Bundy, HB, Pitt Pick 20 - Stan Darsh, DE, UNT Pick 26 - Randy Savage, FS, UGA Pick 27 - Duane Butane, FB, Buff Round 5 Pick 7 - David Aguars, TE, Rutgers Pick 10 - Patrick Drahft-Pik, FS, Rutgers Pick 22 - Jack Thomas, MLB, Miami Pick 29 - Larry Anders, HB, OKST Round 6 Pick 8 -That Guyclint, SS, MTSU Pick 13 - Swagger Vache, K, Drake Views: Something is rotten in the state of the NCAA. Apparently the lower-tier schools brought their A-game to recruiting, as most of the top-tier QBs in the country came from those programs. Remember that this takes place after the 2013 season, which means there are a number of teams looking for QBs including Minnesota, Oakland, Jacksonville, (still) Cleveland, and Houston among some possible surprises. This means there's a very good chance that more than one lower school could make a real name for itself in this draft. Next update will contain any relevant prospect stories that Madden comes up with that pertain to our players here.

Devon Brandon (OLB 1-10) Puts up great pro day Hey, remember how I said the thing about this being 2013 rosters? well, apparently that just meant that all the 14 draft picks were sitting in FA so things got a little weird with needs and things like that. Not to worry, though, I'm pressing onward. Things might just look a bit weird. Also everyone's cap situation got sticky so draft picks will be super important! This might work out great!
