It's usually not "our" private servers. And I think private servers are frowned upon in the Blizzard>WoW subforum. So they end up in Games or MMO HMO.

I suppose it's because it's not hosted by Blizzard or us, and it's not private in the sense that we can't show it to the public.

If you want to be in a goon guild, the one on horde side is growing nicely.

Is this for PvP or raiding? If the latter I don't understand why it uses both Frost Bolt and Arcane Missiles. But then again I never raided as a mage.

EDIT: I'm guessing you spam frost bolt and then use AM when you get a clearcasting proc?

For leveling and raiding. As to your other question, don't ask the guy that *needed* a guide to begin with... :classiclol:

This is why it's good to have all goons on one side or the other; otherwise, the split guilds are too small. Several goons are also joining other guilds, so there really hasn't been a concerted effort to get all SA folks into one place--which hurts when it comes to guild bank characters, leveling and dungeons, and raiding. This is one of the worst general wow populations I have ever seen (especially edgy racist remarks), so sticking together might be nice.

We have a goonsquad channel in game. What more is needed?

People to join the goonsquad channel.

Also you can't /chatwho for some reason so it's hard to see who is around.

I thought the private server forum was for servers hosted by SA members.

I've seen like one goon say anything in there ever. I remember on another server though it seemed to be hopping, though now I can't remember which server that was.

Boone County resident, Jasper June, 72, was arrested today on felony charges of manufacturing and distributing homemade "energy drinks” containing the powerful stimulate methamphetamine. The Boone County drug task force raided June’s tree fort (June lives in 200 sq. ft. tree fort on his brother’s property) to find Jasper wearing only an adult diaper and reading an Arabic pornographic magazine.

"Okay, I put just a little meth in there to get them addicted and keep customers coming back. I know they’ll all testify against me so let me make something else clear: I pissed in every bottle.”

EDIT: And of course there are people on the Nos forums rushing to the defense of this kind of poo poo because it's in a "private channel". loving laffo.

Looks like they're asking for donations (didn't see that one coming ). They've theoretically increased spawn rates but most of the areas are crowded so I couldn't tell if it actually worked.

Good form that they are asking for donations without giving any ingame benefits.

Most everyone I've seen has jumped ship to horde because horde guild has more people on usually. A few who stuck with ally went to the Ouroboros guild.

Nothing wrong with asking for no strings attached donations, but I'm curious why they don't just use the Blizzlike solution of a login queue in the meantime. Cap the server at 5500 since ~6k is when the hardware starts to get punchy.

There is VanillaGuide http://www.wow-one.com/forum/topic/29922-addon-vanilla-guide/ for both alliance and horde. But with how many people are on, it is very hit or miss as to whether it is faster to use. A bunch of other people are also using it.

I suggest using it. Just skip the few quests that are camped by too many people.

Huh, that was weird. I have vanilla guide, but it was only showing me alliance text...reloaded ui and now it's showing horde.

Thanks though

When in doubt, find a quiet spot and grind. Just know that every documented "good spot to grind" will be camped, so you'll probably need to improvise.

Your auto attack animations are brutal, your racials are top of the line for both PvE and PvP, you have the best starting reputation of the Horde and you have the WoW-est of shoulder sizes.

It matters when raiding comes into play, as I'm not too keen on getting up at 4 AM to raid with people across the sea, bless them.

Alliance guild is dead and most joined horde since it has a healthy goon population. There are 2 or 3 goons on alliance still though.

Fajita Queen

There are plenty of good guilds on both sides, so if you want to play alliance you can join one of those, but yeah the goon guild is on Horde because that's where all the Emerald Dream people that wanted to start over went.

If you're thinking about jumping in- do so. This server is absolutely bustling with activity. The 6500 people figure being thrown is clearly not an exaggeration. Even off peak(which is late night NA) it's still pretty busy. The practical upshot of this is:
A) The server is going to be around for a while.
B) You'll be able to find a group for pretty much anything, anytime.
C) There will be plenty of people and plenty of guilds for MC.

The Nostalrius team apparently said that they're doing a BC server next, and it *might* include a character copy tool.

Thinking of joining up and leveling in my downtime at work. My only thing is that I -ALWAYS- default to making a warlock because it's the class I'm most comfortable with (and love pvping with them). If I go horde, should I just go warlock?. I want to be able to solo pvp/grind easily without much hassle. The only other class I've ever played much of is a priest and I'm not sure I'd love leveling up one without multiboxing.

Any class can solo grind in WoW, you just need to get into the groove. You might like playing a mage, since they can AoE really great and are beasts PvP. Rogues are also fun in that they can PvP well (stun without diminishing returns in Vanilla) and also solo well; hunters are the same way and probably the easiest transition from warlock

Personally I try to vary my class selection up because I think it prevents burnout. In WoW, classes get their power so quickly that you can try out the class with an alt and get a feel for their play style.

If people are thinking of joining, hordeside is where all the actions at. Most people are in the 20s, a few are almost 40, and we get new people joining every day. Also learn skinning so you can stop bitching in gchat about how you cant afford to learn to dual wield rusty spatulas at level 10 tia.
