 I was looking for a thread for this show because it premieres tonight but didn't see one. Then I remembered "Hey, wait, didn't I make the thread for last season?" So here's a thread for the new season! At the end of last season, Norman tries to kill himself so that he won't have to take a polygraph test and admit to killing his teacher in season 1 and face the consequences for it. Norma stops him from doing it and says they're the same person and that she can't live without him and makes out with her son. Norman goes ahead with the polygraph test and passes, due to him channeling his "inner mother", a part of his psyche which won't let him believe he's a murderer because that's what his mother thinks. The season 3 premiere is tonight on A&E at 9/8c, so in like 45 minutes. This show has been surprisingly compelling so far and I hope more people have been exposed to it as a result of it streaming on Netflix and Hulu and other places like that.

I feel like S2 got more than a little bogged down with the weed stuff; so I hope this season returns to more of Norman and Norma competing for the role of the craziest Bates in Oregon.

Since this takes place in Oregon, have they come up with an explanation for the town's now-legal weed industry? I like this show a lot and I'm glad it's back on. The relationship between Norma and Norman is so creepy but still believable. I also like the world they've built. I'm curious to see the fallout from the whole drug industry thing.

As for the destruction of the town's weed industry, it's a good first step for making the town fail. Remember, Norma is trying to lobby against the shopping corridor that would take business away from her motel.
