Fun fact I learned reading Huey Newton's autobiography. The Black Panthers coined the term "pigs" in the 60s to refer to cops. Prior to that, the expression did not exist. They were so successful that to this day, people still describe cops as pigs. The word "pig" was used because it was not a swear word, so they could call cops pigs to their faces without swearing, which would not allow the cops to arrest them.
