I was going to water the bits of my lawn that are actually alive, but then I realized that I left my hose and sprinkler over at the folks' house, and I am not going to rewinterize the underground sprinklers. :effort:

spring loving owns. no lovely shopping to do or forced family gatherings, sun is out and everything is still green (everything turns an ugly as gently caress dead-brown in the summer), and usually a nice 70-80 temp. i have fond memories of spring :3:

going to bust my kayak out and use it every weekend

Not in the central part of the state. The winters from Prescott to Flagstaff are cold as gently caress, and icy as hell. You also have monsoon season, which is its own thing. Even Phoenix has at least 3 seasons by this reckoning.

This has been a really odd winter in Wisconsin. It didn't snow that much - there were a few large storms in Dec-Jan - but it never thawed so there was always snow cover. We also had a lot of that bitter cold; -20s with -40s wind chill.

Then all of a sudden about a week and a half ago it's 50-60 degrees and really nice. No rain at all, just really nice sunny days, and all the snow melted quickly. This is the earliest spring I can remember here. Last year we had about a week of spring.
