Finally the ship decided on Uradd; the way he hung around Kleedrac and Conor, plus having a gun, was just too damning. They tied him up and put him at the edge of the plank. Captain Vivanova looked at her former first mate with anger and disappointment. "How could you do this, Uradd? How could you betray my trust like this? Did you just want a ship of your own, is that it? Or was it something I did to turn you into a monster who murders and sells out their shipmates to pirates?"
Uradd said nothing. He closed his eyes and stepped forward, into the briny deep below, never to be seen again.

ROLE PMs:

Uradd - Nohemi Cornett - First Mate (mafia-aligned assassin)
Yarr! You thought this would be an easy thing, tip off some pirates about an unescorted shipment of turquoise, the pirates shoot a few cannons, the ship surrenders, and then you and your other traitors get to leave with the pirates and half a ton of gold coins. But no, the captain had to fight them, and the pirates, fearing any conflict they can't easily win, fled. Now your crew is out to discover your identities and kill you in revenge; not if you get them first!
You are a mafioso! You seek to eliminate everyone else on the boat, and as such win when only mafia-aligned players are alive or nothing can stop the same. Your team consists of just Uradd and ConorT. You have a collective nightkill.
As the rebellious first mate, you have lusted for the power and prestige of being a captain for over a decade. You wanted your money to buy your own ship and your own crew and finally be in charge, and nothing will stop you from your dreams. During the night, if performing the nightkill, you may use your skeleton key to quietly unlock your victim's door and murder them in their sleep. This makes your kills immune to doctor protections.
You are an assassin and you are mafia-aligned.

ConorT - Corrado Tivoli - Carpenter (mafia-aligned roleblocker)
You are a mafioso! You seek to eliminate everyone else on the boat, and as such win when only mafia-aligned players are alive or nothing can stop the same. Your team consists of just Uradd and ConorT. You have a collective nightkill.
As the ship's carpenter, your job was to plug leaks and keep the ship in shape. It is hard and tireless work. You do know how to lock a door from the outside, though - during the night you may target a player in the game and lock their door, trapping them in their room, causing them to be unable to perform an action that night.
You are a roleblocker and you are mafia-aligned.

Kleedrac - Chuy Brennan - Powder Monkey (mafia-aligned traitor)
Oi being a powder monkey sure does sook the noogin. People treat you with no respect, they blame you for their own mistakes, and if you ever speak up and defend yourself you get a whipping. So when you overheard these two guys talking about selling out the ship, you decided if you helped them secretly they would eventually reward you with a share of their gold (and a boat off of this fookin ship).
You are a mafioso! You seek to eliminate everyone else on the boat, and as such win when only mafia-aligned players are alive or nothing can stop the same. You yourself, though, are a traitor - you know the mafia team consists of Uradd and ConorT, but you may not talk to them OOT. They likewise don't even know you exist.
But that's ok! You are able to hide at night in nooks and crannies of the ship that adults neither know nor can fit inside, so if they ever try to kill you it'll fail. In fact if anyone tries to target you it'll fail - you're a hider!
And, you have access to the ship's gunpowder, and during the night you can place some in someone's room and light it, making them go boom. You are a two-shot night vigilante!
You are a traitor and you are mafia-aligned.

VivaNova - Donat Killaugh - Captain (town-aligned mason)
Part of being a captain is having to make decisions that affect not just you, but everyone else on your crew. When you discovered pirates on your port bow, you decided to fight rather than surrender. You hoped - correctly - that a few cannon shots would scare them off, since the only thing a pirate loves more than gold is being alive. Still, the only way for them to have known your location is if someone on the ship told them... mutiny on the high seas is never pretty, but you'll be damned if this is the ship you go down!
You are a townie! You seek to eliminate the traitors on the ship, and as such, win when all scum players are eliminated.
You are also the ship's captain! As the captain you have cultivated a lifelong friendship with the ship's sailing master, Jean Catalano (Five). In a crisis it is important to know who to trust; you have been friends with Jean for three decades of sailing on the seas and you two have been through everything together. Now you're in a strait most diresome and need to rely on each other to get through this more than ever. The two of you are confirmed town and may communicate freely OOT.
You are a mason and you are town-aligned

Five - Jean Catalano - Sailing Master (town-aligned mason)
The sailing master interprets the ship's navigation charts, casts the clairvoyance spells, and makes sure everything is on the right track. But you've sensed a lot of discontentment among the crew lately, and you were not surprised to find that they ratted you out to pirates for some promises of gold coin. Now you need to treat this ship's soul like you've treated the ship itself - guide it from this storm and into safe harbors.
You are a townie! You seek to eliminate the traitors on the ship, and as such, win when all scum players are eliminated.
You are the ship's sailing master! As the sailing master you have cultivated a lifelong friendship with the ship's captain, Donat Killaugh (VivaNova). Now you're in a strait most diresome and need to rely on each other to get through this more than ever. The two of you are confirmed town and may communicate freely OOT.
You are a mason and you are town-aligned

schwein11 - Patryk Sarno - Gunner (town-aligned cop)
You understand the lust for gold. Who wouldn't? The reason why you became a gunner was because, even if the work was harder, it paid double what an average ABS gets. But you would never murder someone for gold; that makes you no better than an animal, or some kind of barbarian. You manned the guns as you beat back the pirates, and now you man your own guns to beat back the traitors.
You are a townie! You seek to eliminate the traitors on the ship, and as such, win when all scum players are eliminated.
It is the job of a gunner to make sure the cannons are in top shape and pointed at the enemy right where it'll hurt them the most. This has given you a keen eye for details, and the ability to notice things others normally don't. During the night you may target a player in the game and look into their identity and background; at the end of the night you will be told if they are TOWN or SCUM.
You are a cop and you are town-aligned.

chaoslord - Réamann Vinci - Boatswain (town-aligned jailor)
Traitors deserve to be drawn and quartered. Authority exists for a reason; if everyone did whatever they wanted whenever they wanted it regardless of the consequences the world would be in utter anarchy. Pirates live and die on the sea, but they are no better than animals or rats. In fact they are probably worse than rats; at least rats know they're rats, but pirates think they're still people. It'd be pitiable if they weren't also monsters. When pirates attacked the ship you happily fought them back, and now you want to give the traitors on the ship what's coming to them - their brutal and violent deaths.
You are a townie! You seek to eliminate the traitors on the ship, and as such, win when all scum players are eliminated.
As the boatswain you keep track of every room on the ship, making sure everything is in order and just as it should be. You also control who gets in which rooms, and who gets out. During the night you may target a player in the game and, using your skeleton key, lock their door. This makes them unable to get out of their rooms to perform actions, but also makes them unable to be targeted by anyone else as well. Come morning you'll come by and let them back out again.
You are a jailor and you are town-aligned.

NevergirlsOFFICIAL - Angelika Serafino - Quartermaster (town-aligned gunsmith)
You've never been one to question what's happening around you; you quietly just put your head down and do your duty. Others would find it tedious, but you rather enjoy it; it keeps your thoughts on numbers and inventories rather than the whispering voices in the back of your skull. But that doesn't mean you don't know the difference between right and wrong. Pirates attacking the ship? Traitors on board selling out your life in exchange for some silver? That's so abhorrent that, at least for now, you're willing to focus on hunting scum instead of hunting erroneous logbooks.
You are a townie! You seek to eliminate the traitors on the ship, and as such, win when all scum players are eliminated.
You are also the ship's quartermaster. You have inventories on everyone on the ship who has access to a gun; during the night you may review them to determine if a player HAS A GUN or DOES NOT HAVE A GUN. Note that while all mafia would have guns (how else can they kill?), so do many townspeople, even ones who don't kill at night.
You are a gunsmith and you are town-aligned.

LordVorbis - Ámbar Alemagna - Sailor (town-aligned vanilla)
Look Under The Rock - Florian Lèmmi - Sailor (town-aligned vanilla)
Samfucius - Dieudonné Langlois - Sailor (town-aligned vanilla)
Oh a hidy-hidy-hidy hoe, a sailor's life is tough to hoe. Oh a hoody-hoody-hoody hee, it's still a sailor's life for me. You wanted to see the world and learn about the high seas, but you never knew how downright dangerous it could be. You have seen your share of storms and sharks and you even once thought you saw a sea drake in the distance, but pirates and traitors? That's a new thing entirely. Now you need to use your wits, your reasoning, and your gut to discover the scum in your midst so you can keep the ship safe and you can stand on dry land once again.
You are a townie! You seek to eliminate the traitors on the ship, and as such, win when all scum players are eliminated.
You have no other outstanding powers or abilities.
You are a vanilla and you are town-aligned.

In the original setup the jailor was a doc and your role worked like normal but as I was writing the PMs I realized that wouldn't be balanced in a game this size so I made the doctor a jailor. A jailor "protection" isn't a protection like a doctor's, it makes the player totally untargetable, so it made sense to me that your kill would fail against chaos's targets, but had chaos targeted you you wouldn't have been roleblocked. Your flavor would have come into play had Schwein ever investigated you.

It's still leaned against you but only slightly, and it wouldn't really change that by the end of day 1 both of you were pretty much hosed due to play.
