If she were a boy, no one would care. But she is a girl so people make a big deal. The funniest part is how she is no longer an amateur due to her getting $$$ and poo poo. But the NCAA said they will consider her an amateur if she makes it that far. If this were a dude there is no way in hell the NCAA would do that. So I hope she gets run over by a truck. Or the NCAA gets run over by a truck. Or they both get run over. gently caress em all.

Even if she were a hot shot boy pitcher the chances of making any real money in baseball are minuscule. Almost no one makes the pros and of those that do all but a small percent end up injured or stuck in minor league hell. If she were able to make it through high school though I bet a minor league team would sign her. Minor league baseball is great because of the carney bullshit team owners will pull to get people to the park.

I'm genuinely stunned at the recent crop of regular-ish people who have been caught using twitter to say something racist/sexist/homophobic and then had real life repercussions. Like how hard is it to make a dummy twitter account that doesn't have any of your personal information on it and use that account to spam whatever hate speech you want for as long as you want.
