One of its more famous operations was Game Warden in December of 1965. Pending: ThisIsNoZaku posted:Ops and Activity to March and Ambush. The ARVN Ranger prevents the removal of the US Base.

VC Passes, gaining one Resource. ARVN Trains in Da Nang, placing two Police. ARVN Governs in Hue and Khanh Hoa. In Khanh Hoa, support is reduced to Neutral. In Hue, support is reduced to Passive Support. Three Aid is lost and added to Patronage. Three ARVN Resources are spent. Current: General Westmoreland in 1964 became the second commander of MACV (Event 69). He believed in a strategy of large conventional battle. He advocated and sought to bring NVA regulars into set-piece engagements in which overwhelming US superiority in firepower and technology would break the back of the enemy military. Westmoreland’s strategy during the critical ‘64-‘67 period is sometimes cited as one of the reasons for US defeat in the war. Pending: VC may execute Ops only, Ops & Special, Event, or Pass.

He was a major advocate for intervention and escalation of the war. He remains a very controversial figure who leveraged his relationship with the President to have a significant impact on US strategy during his tenure. Pending: ARVN may execute Ops only, Ops & Special, Event, or Pass.

I'll execute my turn in the morning but for now: anyone got ideas on how to stop the VC? They're up by 4. There's only 3 cards left in the campaign, coup card could be any of those 3. If it's next, they'll go last after all 3 of us have gone. Neither event is helpful to us. I can't snipe any bases, but at best I can infiltrate in QTTT to reduce Opposition by 2. The ARVN can Pacify in Kien Phong to bring them down 4, so by itself that'll do. US doesn't have resources to Pacify but they can Assault QTTT to kill a base (if they airlift in 2 more troops). Assuming prop card is next, the VC will be unable to bring their victory points up by more than 1 on a limop (by building a base.) If they get a full Op they can get 2 by building bases. So if all 3 of us gang up on VC, they'll go down to 32, and then get back up to 34 (either by terror in QTTT or, assuming the next card isn't coup and they go first, passing and building 2 bases.) Either way we're still in the game. So I'm planning to Rally a Guerrilla in QTTT, Infiltrate there, and improve the trail. Anyone got a better suggestion?
