For what it's worth, I really enjoyed this LP thus far well after the fact and what it was going for. It's just... Dead Space 1 is a very, very poor ground zero for interest. Everyone either has already played this first game or gave ZERO shits at this point. Beyond that, it has since run its course well into the ground by EA in the core series to the point people give as much a poo poo about it as Assassin's Creed. This includes myself and I loving liked the whole series. The idea behind this thread was rock solid but it has a bad foundation. Piling through the whole weird series? Awesome! What supplementary poo poo I've watched of Dead Space is ripe for riffing. Start from obscure poo poo people don't know. That loving Wii Dead Space anomaly? I'd have looked into that weird thing more objectively as a jokey thread. A launching point of a seven year old game that sold 2 million copies and already had a couple successful LPs was not a good launching platform. Never was. And it's lovely to have that happen in hindsight. Going into a game semi-positive with a very EHH audience as it turns out and nobody championing it is a bum deal. Actually reading the thread you got every idiot twat that thinks they can do pseudo-FYAD giving no fucks but hating everything constitutes humor or assholes set in idiot ways posting that makes SA of late poo poo all at once with no recourse and that sucks. That's demoralizing poo poo, I know. I wish you luck on your LPN thing. But getting some constructive criticism is always helpful, even from shitholes.

I disagree. I find this LP interesting and informative, despite having played through DS1 about 9-10 times.

I just like how it's a game where today you'd expect scarecam and screaming, and instead you have people commenting with subtitles that really lets you pay attention to the smaller details more.

I was wondering what happened to episode 3, and then I just saw these: https://twitter.com/tortoiseontour/status/598140897495220224 https://twitter.com/tortoiseontour/status/598141426053029888 https://twitter.com/tortoiseontour/status/598141426053029888 https://twitter.com/tortoiseontour/status/598146566906650624 Apparently the collaboration thing is not happening anymore. I'm kinda sad about this. I was really excited for this LP and thought it was really unique and interesting. I was even playing ahead in Dead Space 1 to think up jokes in advance. Well, good luck on LPN. I hope this is the kind of inventive LP that will be more popular on it.

Eugh, I guess it's a little late for me to chime in with my thoughts, given that, but I was rather enjoying this so far. I'd never played Dead Space and don't really know too much about the series aside from space zombies, and I liked how you were letting the atmosphere of the game do its thing while having the pop-ups. I enjoyed watching your Homecoming LP so I figured I'd just sit back and watch this one happen, but I guess I should have been a little more vocal. Well, anyway, thank you for doing as much as you did.

Although the format of the LP wasn't quite my cup of tea I found in really interesting and I can appreciate the insane amount of work and effort Kamoc has put into it. Also without experimentation the format of LP won't develop. I think it does work as an LP format and it's a great way of bridging the gap between the LP itself and the audience it's just a shame it didn't really gain any traction going from the tweets.
