So it looks like Vancouver, Calgary, LA, with Winnipeg left in the cold? Also Jonny Gaudreau is rookie of the month, March. Whoo.

Chicago is not going to make it past the first round unless the Blues really poo poo the bed down the stretch here. Sorry Kimmo, you should have picked Tampa or something.

The Canucks alternate between looking like Babby's First Hockey Team against poo poo teams, and then the very next game they go and demolish the Kings. It's a coin toss which version you'll get on any given night.

I'm still not sure I understand why Burrows would need a hearing for that. He's a shithead in general but I didn't think the Gaustad hit looked bad.

THE MACHO MAN posted:that Seth Jones one it looks like Vrbata hit an invisible pole or something The fact that he boards him twice in a row and Vrbata left the game obviously injured makes it that much more infuriating that it wasn't even a 2 minute boarding penalty. Like, it's pretty close to what Weber did to Zetterberg in the playoffs two years ago, and he at least got a fine for that. NHL officiating is poo poo. I will laugh my dick off when they lose a billion dollar concussion lawsuit.

He's a good egg, just got caught in a bad situation. Maybe he was falling, and thrusting his stick out like that was a reflex to catch himself, and the neck just happened to be in the way... Rooting for 2 games at most.

And that would be some great hockey that no one would ever, ever watch. But if we're rooting for the ratings Heat Death of the NHL Universe I guess the idea outcome is Tampa Bay-Nashville. It's not officially because of the sponsorship deal, it just is a convenient tie-in. Hell, they'll probably get paid by whoever manages Heart for the inevitable choice of goal song.
