Skylight Freerange 2: Gachduine is a 3D open-world RPG that takes place in Nova Scotia in 2048, as a large group known as the Cult of the Symbiote tries to forcefully overtake the province under the guise of trying to protect the Maritimes against biotech-related disasters. The player controls the Gachduine, a resistance group unknown to the public, whose goal is to discredit the Cult and prevent them from establishing strong roots in the province.

Each of the members of the Gachduine have their own reasons to hate the Cult of the Symbiote and see it to its end:
Craig worked for a security company, which was forcibly shut down when the company refused to side with the Cult.
Rory, having experienced terrible fighting during his time as a soldier, hates to see the Cult's violent takeover methods covered up by the media that favours them.
Kyra's parents were given an ultimatum: disown their anti-Cult son or their family will have the Cult turn against them.
Zippy watched his friends get gunned down for being in the way of Cult dissidents.
Miranda has to deal with her husband's pro-Cult friends making life miserable for her, as well as watching the Cult force its views into her kids' education.
Noah's company is openly boycotted by the Cult, after refusing to support them.
Erica's mother is a pro-Cult celebrity who ignores their malevolent actions and tries to use Erica as another Cult symbol and voice.
Lucia was forced to flee her home after the Cult killed her sister.

Game Features

-Explore Nova Scotia and choose the order to play through; main quests, side quests, world map and city dungeons not related to quests (with multiple rare weapons as a reward in each one), interacting with team members socially and exploring the open world can be done in any order at any time.

-Choose how the past game ended in one of 5 ways or import a save file from the first Skylight Freerange. Combined with a major choice midway through the main quest, final available party members, main quest line, final battles and certain side quests will be altered.

-20 weapon types cause standard attacks to function differently. Unarmed attacks add to a combo modifier that make attacks progressively stronger, Rifles deal large damage at a distance and pitiful damage up close, Battering Rams require 2 characters to attack for large damage, Hover Staves to launch enemies into the air to do progressively more damage the higher an enemy is launched, exploding Barrels to be set and detonated as traps, and more.

-City side quests end with choices. The choice may not only have small results immediately, but the results of all city side quests add up and grant one of three ultimate side quests based on how the prerequisite quests were handled, some with world map altering changes.

-Social situations not only allow your custom main character to develop friendships and relationships with individual team members, but can also lead to group activities, such as guys/girls night out, forming a guild for an online game, going on a Vegas trip and more.

-20 playable characters total across the 10 paths that can be customized in a variety of ways, including offense, defense, support, stealth, traps, summoning Drones and Golems, knockback, high speed movement, battlefield control, stunning and status effects (which work on both normal enemies and bosses), and more. Most characters have 20 skill trees each, while your custom main character has 49. Weapons can be modified, as well.

-79 quests total across all 10 paths, none of which are fetch quests or kill X of Y enemy quests.

-Endgame optional superdungeon and superarena allow your team to push its potential to the limit.

-Save files transfer from demo to full version.
