Well, that seems like an overreaction to a simple opinion.

Maybe you should drink a beer? It would help you relax.

Costco just released a store brand light beer but my local one doesn't have it in stock yet

I am sad about this because I consistently enjoy dirt water and welcome the opportunity to drink a 48 pack in 2 days instead of a 30 that would've been the same price.

I work (and am also posting) in the beer department of my grocery store, so I get to spend a lot of my money on craft beer and I think we have a pretty decent selection considering Pennsylvania's liquor law insanity, although I'm getting sick of old people complaining about me having to take their ID with every purchase.
At any rate, if I could suggest any tasty beers, I would highly recommend getting ahold of a Crème Brûlée bomber by Southern Tier while it's still available because it's delicious and tastes like vanilla cake.
Also, I'm not an IPA guy in the least, but the Mad Hatter by New Holland Brewing is worth checking out too. It's not getting any love here anyway.

It's nice living in Ontario because we have a ton of beer that's great and never gets to the states

Great Lakes Karma Citra for example. You guys are missing out. Trust me.

Great Lakes brewing in Ontario is shittier than Cleveland's Great Lakes Brewing in every measurable way.

Actually all of Canada loving sucks at beer, with the notable exception of Unibroue but seriously, the rest of that country can go piss up a loving rope when it comes to oat sodas

This. Why am I one of the only people not on board with Stone's ultimate goal to weaponize hops? I sincerely apologize for wanting my beer to taste balanced and not like a fresh cut pine tree.
Plus the whole REAL BEER TASTES LIKE HOPS attitude these guys seem to push really puts... A bad taste in my mouth.

I was coming back from PA with a friend of mine and we stopped at the Weyerbacker brewery. That poo poo was gross, I have no idea what they were thinking. My impression of them is that they try to make up for some kind of grotesque sweetness by upping the ABV through the roof.

If you like it, though, it's worth going, they give you 6 free samples and a tour.

Beer is good. I learned not to stick to just one brand or type because if you don't switch it up, you'll miss out on a lot of other tasty stuff.

Right now our local official german braumeister has maibock available and drat it's really good.

I love Southern Tier's stuff and it's one of the best stouts I've had so far so I really don't think you'll be disappointed. River Horse's oatmeal milk stout is also exceptional, in my honest opinion. That one tastes like dark chocolate fudge to me.

Yo beer thread:

- hops taste great

- IPAs are really good, especially if they are super bitter and/or citrus-y

- beers with fruit flavors, herbs, or beers made to taste like something other than beer are disgusting

- pilsners are disgusting

- beers made outside of America (other than Guinness) are disgusting

If you mean a barley wine, in my experience they're unusually thick and extra malty for what one might be expecting. It's a strange taste, but some people like it. Worth trying at least once if you're adventurous
