it's not funny

physical comedy isn't funny. especially not animated physical comedy. maybe it's funny if someone actually gets hurt or does a great job of acting like it

and every cartoon is p much the same thing. coyote falls off a cliff wasn't funny once and it's not funny the 25th time

same with tom and jerry that's not funny either

good cartoons are things like Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck

sarcastic witty characters

Foghorn Leghorn is funny too I say I say I like the way he talks

jokes with words are funny

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: this sovereign citizen stuff might be closer to the truth than we are willing to admit.
roadrunner cartoons are good. the best comedy is that which appeals to both low- and high-brow alike. the worst kind of comedy is middle-brow.

yes that particular cartoon would be funnier if road runner had a random cut away flash back that references an obscure old television show, or if coyote got hurt and said 'ow' for 2 minutes on the ground

I honestly think I would have trouble relating to a person irl who didn't think looney tunes were funny. Something about that just doesn't make sense to me.

Chiming in to say those cartoons were pretty good.

If you didn't want the coyote to eat that road runner at least once than you were not a good person.

This title text is surprisingly sturdy.
If you want to talk about bland and lacking in creativity, look at the old Hannah Barbara cartoons. Most of those characters were just complete rip offs of old comedians that told worse jokes. With laugh track. LAUGH TRACK. I get that that the terribleness of at all was supposed to be the joke but I just don't find them relatable, myself. At least it was fun to watch Wile E. Cayote attempt various contraptions and then have a look of incredible frustration or misery before failing utterly. Plus, there was the Bugs and Wile E. episode? Funny as hell IMO

loving hated that arrogant bourgeois roadrunner. The proletariat Coyote works his drat rear end off and gets nowhere due to the inferior capitalist system providing poor unregulated trap devices and artificial/real train tunnels.

Truly the cartoon of the revolution.

All of those old loony toons are good. I remember watching all of them as a kid, and learning poo poo I didn't even know I was learning until I recognized it later in life. I also felt bad for the coyote .

I never really thought this way about the road runner thanks to the rule that the coyote can only fail due to his own incompetence, but I'll admit that I did want to see characters like Tweety and Speedy Gonzales become cat food.

actually each cartoon is different, thats like the whole point OP. The thing thats the same is that coyote tries to catch roadrunner but fails.

the funniness comes from the wacky convoluted plans he tries to use
