Blhue posted:So is this show actually funny stupid or just stupid? It's either unfunny stupid or actually secretly clever. It remains to be seen which. The writer's humour really doesn't connect with me, but his games have generally worked effectively on the principle of "outlandish rules applied in an interesting and consistent way".

Oh boy AI and healing factors? How Ever17... Some speculation: 1. Hmm, I wonder if the cat-porn video is alluding to something about the cat-ghost. For our hero, his... ability seems to be even triggered by photographs and videos. However the cat ghost can watch his animal equivalent of full sex videos without ill effect. Which either means Yuta's behaviour is unique to him, in which case it's odd that the cat knew about it, or the cat is hiding something. 2. Maybe the meteor is something that happens *anyway*. Which makes the Yuta-effect not a matter of summoning a meteor to destroy the world, but of traveling forwards in time and then coming back again. Which maybe also explains how the professor dude knew that Strange Juice would arrive at the dorm way in the future. 3. Meika being able to launch all the nukes in the world is clearly a Chekov's gun.

pandaK posted:ye. Yeah. (Spoilers for Ever17) Looks like we'll see what living Yuta was doing. Speculation: You know, if this is like Ever17, the point would be to create a closed timelike loop. Living Yuta needs to not just save the world, but also trick ghost-Yuta into thinking the world *wasn't* saved, and thus into travelling back in time.

There's no real reason to yuberfy given that we know it's long term harmful to one's health. Strange Juice is the anomaly.

Conot posted:Also, it seems kinda dickish of Chiranosuke to not tell Yuta(s) about how events have previously turned out. It would help a ton if Yuta knew whether he was retreading steps to a doomed future, and it seems likely that this would have happened atleast once in the past 6.whatever billion times My theory is that Chiranosuke is the previous run's Yuuta, killed by the asteroid. So he only knows what the prior iteration of Chiranosuke told him, which isn't a lot.

Maybe they are going to launch all the world's nukes at the asteroid? Then again that still doesn't resolve the stuff happening in the distant past. Maybe Yuta is going to make himself a ghost so that he can travel back in time further? Fangz fucked around with this message at 00:10 on Jun 12, 2015 |

This story is not an end yet. Because only Yuta are in the infinity loop.

Conot posted:Considering that there are fixed events in every loop such as the posession of Rabura and the sending of the fax. Since Ghost Yuta explicitly went back to do that... and to posses himself... isn't it most likely that he went back to the first timeline, thus establishing the stable time loop? Not if he merely tricks the next Ghost-Yuta into believing that he had failed.
