It was also done on Fark, many years ago. They didn't acknowledge that it was a thing they did, either. Eventually a small cadre of shadowbanned Farkers left and formed a splinter copycat site called Bannination; its operating principle is a total lack of moderation. The only disallowed things are spamming and posting illegal things. I hung around for a while but it was terrible. These were the bad old days before I became a Goon.
