On one hand, I expect Portland to get a bullshit goal if this keeps up, on the other, S2 is one up on RSL!

You mean ref meltdown :)

Oh my God, yes. Like, that was all around awful reffing from the whole team. I'm half surprised he didn't play out the final stoppage time like an idiot.

The Starfire Sports Complex is the greatest "field" that is within less than a mile of grandfathered gambling establishments and run-down hooker hotels.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Starfire is where your kid plays their championships, and gets to eat pizza. And I loving love having MLS games there.

Seattle's fans have pretty much enjoyed this more than any loss in their history, so I'm not sure what the melting down is.

Does the TA get a travel ban for bringing flares into Starfire, is my question.

If they do, it'd be bullshit, because I distinctly remember ECS using flares at Starfire and getting nothing more than Arlo White jokingly calling them "naughty boys and girls"

Was it flares or just smoke? I didn't see it but heard Fletcher mention it. Last year when one of our bigger douchebags set off smoke on the way in he was trespassed & arrested after he tried to get back in. He got a travel ban from the TA and banned from home matches for the rest of the season.

I haven't seen him (or had to deal with his poo poo) at a league match since.

Fair distinction. It was smoke in both cases. I think.

Does Dempsey even want to play in the USOC? It seems like he is paying for a ticket out of that so he can focus on MLS and other duties.

Eh, if he cares enough to get punished for something stupid, he cares enough to play, probably. Like I can definitely see him not caring too much about the early games, but if Seattle was getting close to winning the Open Cup, I'm sure he'd want to be part of it.

I don't mean to be completely pissing in y'all's lemonade, but it does seem the majority of Sounders players care like we do.

e: Like Dempsey probably cares the least of the current first team, and I don't think he's like Freddie Ljungberg, Blaise Nkufo, or arguably Eddie Johnson at all.

Go...Chicago? Sure, why not?

Can't allow that, they would be the first MLS team to 5, and that could be the Sounders next year. :colbert:

I think I'll go with OCSC because nothing says passing the smug fan torch like winning an Open Cup.

Yeah, gotta go with Philly for this, just remembered that I'm still mad that SKC beat Seattle for this a few years ago.

That was on his feet, I literally meant his head.

I'm hoping he pulls a Zidane, and somehow the ref cards the other guy and awards a penalty to Casey, and then PK goal.
