I don't think it'll be amazing, but I feel like I have no choice but to watch it. I didn't feel that way about the dumb prequels. Episode I was the only one I saw in theaters. I borrowed a Revenge of the Sith DVD from a relative, eventually. I don't think I ever saw more than a few clips from Attack of the Clones, but then even people who saw the whole movie barely remember it, so I'm not sure. This, though, I don't know. Feels like I kind of gotta watch it if I ever cared about that Mighty Morphin' Wheezing Ranger-looking motherfucker with his red glowstick. And I did. I really did. I dressed up like him for Halloween, gently caress. I even dressed like him for Halloween when I was tall/old enough to sell it.

And unlike Star Wars, of which 95% of it is total poo poo (only 66% if you're just counting the movies and not all the other media, I guess) Mad Max has only had one movie where half of it was terrible, so this is much more likely to be good. Also it actually looks fun and interesting and like it's doing some cool new poo poo with the franchise beyond "I guess this robot has a ball for a body now? Check out these shots you already saw in Star Trek!"
