Illegal Hen

Must have been really awkward for Coop to see the moment when Murph gets fingerblasted & blows 16 year-old Tommy.

Or when adult Murph has a celebratory rear end loving from Getty after solving the space-time mathematics equation in that very same room.

That night we performed the rite and opened the gate.
Halfway through, I went to fix us both a coke float.
By the time I got back, he'd gone insane.
Plus, he'd left the gate open and there was evil everywhere.

You know when they launched up from earth on a big rocket right? So if they needed to do that then why on the other planets they visited why did the ships themselves have the thrust to escape gravity despite the fact that at no point did anyone say or walk like all those planets were low G. Why Christopher Nolan WHY!?!

Someone should edit out all the Earth drama.

they mentioned that miller's planet had really high G, around 2.5 i think they said? mann's planet was around 0.8 G, but i can't remember if they actually said that in the movie.

they get the magic formula to "solve gravity" and then all the problems of earth go away somehow

movie was good, not amazing

bad dialog, annoying over-explaining of everything necessitating way too much in-ship time dedicated to us watching people talk to each other and come up with analogies for the most basic concept of time being relative, and somehow the ability to make outer space not look amazing. Seriously there was like 1 shot of Saturn and a black hole that are legendary and it kinda makes you think hey why isnt this movie full of this kinda poo poo instead of cutting back and forth between astronaut stress faces

It's still a cool movie but I just am really put off by the fact that somehow Christopher Nolan could make space seem so incredibly unfun and boring.

the music that starts around 3min is super good and you could probably put that on any video footage and it'd get at least 10x more exciting

yeah except you couldve just made an entire movie where the spacecraft flies around and no one talks and you see random planets and poo poo and it wouldve been really cool compared to a soap opera

i know this because i've seen 2001

If Interstellar had been directed by Terry Gilliam it would have ended with Murph's idiot brother crushing the watch in moronic anger over his precious corn.

I was half expecting that anyway actually.
