My friend found 25 year old my little pony figurines she had as a kid. Apparently very rare. Sold one for $540, the rest for a combined $1000 or so.

I watched the first episode with my roommates when it first came out and it was a nice show for kids. It was funny when the one was so antisocial she just started squeaking when talked to

I watched an episode back when people started getting mlp avatars here and I wanted to know why. My wife walked in on me watching it and yelled 'why the gently caress are you watching my little pony' She doesn't give a poo poo about porn but draws the line at horse cartoons. I picked a good wife. Also if I had a school aged daughter I'd let her watch it but I don't know why anyone else would want to.

Remember the early threads that had actual brony anti-fanfiction? There was this one where this brony woke up into a world where My Little Pony never existed. He was trying to remember the names and poo poo. It was like 3000 words long or something. I think after four years goons have lost their brony hate passion. Now y'all are just going through the motions like old married dudes.

I know a girl who watches this show and unironically thinks it is good. I don't understand how an adult can watch this show and actually enjoy it, since there has to be some kind of weird feeling in your subconscious that people would think your a creepy pedo for watching it. Maybe some people would be able to repress that feeling and watch it anyway, but I don't think I could and I would not be able to enjoy it for that reason.

My wife is a very suborn and logical person and doesn't like to not understand things. When she learned about bronies she had to figure it out. She made me bring up a youtube of a random episode. She kept watching and watching waiting for something in the video to make sense, to explain it. I kept telling her "it's a show for young children, mostly young girls". Eventually she became upset and let me shut it off. "What the gently caress, this is just a show for very little girls?! But why are grown men watching it???". It does not compute, and it makes her upset. I try to explain that it's less about the show and more about the social aspect or sense of community, not unlike furries. And not unlike furries there is a strong sexual aspect as well as childhood associations with saturday morning cartoons and their own stunted emotional development. It still just doesn't make sense to her. I mean it doesn't make sense to me but it's easy to just roll your eyes and say "gross man-children are weird" and not worry about it.

I let my kids watch this some times. It's not like offensively terrible but it's not anything special either. I guess it's fun for young girls. I stopped by a local comic book shop once and asked if they had any My Little Pony comics, since I figured it might be good reading practice for my daughters. The owner explained "Sorry, we have trouble keeping those in stock. We have bronies." He used the exact same tone of voice you'd use for "We have bedbugs."

It was a dvd of my little pony and he went on and on about it. he told me that his dad regularly beat him and he wasn't doing very well in school, but he found peace and quiet while watching the show.
