Randarkman posted:Rome was better I like GoT but this is true. To be fair, it ends at a logical place and in a pretty good way for the over-all plot. It tells a story and it tells it well. They could have kept going I guess, but where? Pax Romana just doesn't have the drama man.

Dead Gay Romans posted:I like GoT but this is true. This got me thinking.. Did Rome do sexposition? I mean it for sure had a lot of nudity and sex, particularly in the first few episodes IIRC, but I remember most of that nudity being background characters such as slaves being nude, because why not, or them having sex was part of the plot, as in they were having an affair or something, or it was Antony being Antony.

Last 2 episodes have been kind of lame. I hope they build up to something They better do the worm eating scene with Arya and the old priest, or else. Also, where are the Sand Snakes ?

I wish shows like this just focused a bit more rather than trying to do everything at once, like I understand it's a big world and a lot of this stuff is happening simultaneously but I'd much rather have episodes devoted to fleshing out specific arcs up to a certain important plot point then jumping from arc to arc until we're all caught up instead of this whole 5 minutes of these guys followed by 5 minutes of those guys then back to the first group etc.

If you want realistic epic war fighting scenes, you have to make the series into a movie trilogy. You have to hand the story to Ridley Scott or Peter Jackson to make 3-6 movies series, who no doubt will throw out 90% of the intrigues and palace power struggles. It's a compromise no matter what media you choose to adapt the books. I am very happy HBO have been very faith to the intrigue and mystery elements of the books and do the best job they could for the fighting.
