Most of the threads here seem overwhelmingly focused on fiction. Who here reads mostly non-fiction? I've tried to pick up reportedly enjoyable books like Dune and Neuromancer, for example, however I just found them boring to read through despite being alright literature. I do, however, love me some Chomsky, Bookchin, Marx, etc. If you predominantly read non-fiction, what's your favourite subject?

I find anything about the Israeli-Palestine conflict to be really interesting, or pretty much anything that documents how to Middle East got to the way it was, though a lot of history is up to debate, especially regarding an ongoing conflict. Sometimes reality is more interesting than fiction. A dense primer. http://www.amazon.com/Israel-Palestine-Conflict-Contested-Histories/dp/1405175389 This one is lighter and a compelling story of T.E. Lawrence in the region. http://www.amazon.com/Lawrence-Arabia-Deceit-Imperial-Notable-ebook/dp/B00BH0VSPI

If you haven't checked them out already, you might find both Ilap Pappe or Chomsky's The Fateful Triangle interesting.

I read Articles on Wikipedia; described as "The Free Encyclopaedia"; right now I am reading this Article on Homosexual Behaviour in Animals; I have read it seven (7) times. It is here. I was interested to find that one of my favourite Mammals; the Sea Otter [Enhydra Lutris]; has been recorded to participate in such Behaviours; as has the Orca [Orcinus Orca] or Killer Whale, which is a Toothed Whale; Toothed Whales are not Whales as the name suggests; they are Dolphins.
