posters here had great things to say or ask about the topics of belief, the nature of faith (faith and belief should be strongly distinguished), notions of God in Abrahamic religions vs eastern religions, the limits of our understanding, the usefulness or point of approaching issues of God or Faith in one's own life, and how does a person come to start believing in something that seems so difficult to begin believing in?

maybe that discussion is over now idk but the thread seemed to get closed at a high point so now this is open if anyone wants to discuss it.

I think this is really interesting because as a young teen I was one of those horribly strident atheists...but as i grew up I realised I believed in a lot of things i couldnt strictly prove, when i really dug into them! and from that point I kind of realised that there wasnt much to separate my respect for those beliefs, ethical or practical, from the religious beliefs of others.
