I wasn't that into music or Nirvana at the time, I was instead listening to a lot of Right-Wing Radio. I do remember Rush Limbaugh referring to him as a waste of skin and not ever turning in to right wing radio again, though.

1973 Checking in here. Baby photos are black and white. So were the first 2 television sets in my house. Watched Madonna sing 'Holiday' during the first week of Channel 4. Saw L7's vagina on 'the word'. Saved toothpaste boxes to get my first records, Frankie goes to Hollywood and Culture Club. They turned off the music and rolled in the AV cart into the youth club disco to let us watch Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' when it came out. Betamax crew checkin' in. Wore cycle pants, over sized t-shirts, sideways cap and British Knights to clubs. De La Soul on repeat. 2 unlimited played my local rave-disco. Over hydrated to 'not die' on ecstasy. First car was a 1977 Austin Princess, with an 8 track player. First computer was a sinclair spectrum. Manic Miner owns everyone. I still don't consider myself Gen anything really.

Being from Generation X you can remember the evening news and seeing the votes the Baby Boomers and Silent Generation were making and hearing the occasional voice of concern asking if this would gently caress their children and their children down the road. You're hosed

1982 I remember turning on the tv and telling my parents there was a dude in a white Bronco being chased by police I remember trading porn JPEGs on AOL 1.0 in black and white and it took five minutes to download each one I remember watching power rangers and saved by the bell after school I remember only getting a tv in my room when I was home sick. The tv was black and white and had both UHF and VHF dials I remember Sega Game Gear and Genesis, and having a magazine insert with all the codes for NBA JAM Tournament Edition where you could play as mascots and dunk all the way across the court
