I am pleased overall with the Lions draft. Mayhew went out and managed to wheel and deal to get a pick in every single round, and if Ameer Abdullah doesn't continue to be a fumbling machine, I think i'll like the draft class even more. It's nice to see them go out and get some protection for Stafford in the first round, as well. I think they could've done a little better on the DT front, but we'll see what happens there.

Nobody drafted Dengar and that's a goddamn shame.

100 degrees? Pffft. I give it about a month here before it's 115 degrees every other day. With 30% humidity.

Mark Sanchez is light years better than Ryan Lindley. TIM TEBOW is better than Ryan Lindley.

Probably Magic posted:Also the answer is Lindley, hands down. Dude set an NFL record for most pass attempts to start a career without throwing a touchdown (228). As far as all-time NFL QB's go, Lindley is a mountain of rotten garbage that has been set on fire. I couldn't believe my eyes when the Cardinals quite literally couldn't find anybody better to start that playoff game for them this past season. Anyone would've been better. A 46 year old Andre Ware would've been better.

Replace Goodell with Barry Sanders. Everybody loves Barry Sanders. He is tough, but fair. It's a win-win.

Proposal: Eliminate the XP entirely, and force everyone to go for 2 after each touchdown. This happened during the Lions vs. Eagles Snowmageddeon two years ago, and it was rad as poo poo.

The Vikings said they won't trade him, but they'll probably trade him if he gives them a big enough offseason headache.

Yeah, I know that the Vikings have the upper hand here, but what if he decides he'll never play for them ever again? They're gonna keep him on the team and force him to sit on the bench (or at home) for the remainder of his contract? Why not trade him and at least get something in return for your troubles?

swickles posted:Because in that scenario the Vikings would be lucky to get a conditional 7th. Other teams will just wait for him to be cut. Keep in mind that with a trade comes a hefty contract that affects the salary cap. True. Should be interesting to see how they let this play out.
