Someone who is reading the old thread can correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think he was an actual lawyer. He was just pretending to be one, kinda like how he pretended to be a fox (or whatever animal he pretended to be). Basically, the whole thing was a shitshow. Like, we should really focus on the piece of poo poo dad, but the daughter and her "PR agent" were just too loving funny to leave alone.

Yeah it's a pretty tragic story and sadly it happens a lot. It's good that she took to the internet to speak out about it afterwards, not just SA but also an AMA on Reddit for instance. Hopefully it will encourage others in a similar situation to come forward, but I guess the sad thing that might make it difficult is when people laugh about it and say that the victims of such abuse deserve what they get. Personally I think she's very brave, comes across as very level-headed in her interviews and if she was into some geeky stuff that you don't like, so what, she was a kid. Also apparently her obsession with the internet was due largely to her severe disability that prevented her from going outside. I wonder how well adjusted you would be in that situation.
