I've tried jim beam and no, it is not good for the price. I think I've had better experiences with Evan Williams and Old Granddad, not that those are good either. Sadly you really do get what you pay for with bourbon. Unless someone knows some magical awesome cheap bourbon I don't know about. Fortunately there IS good cheap Cognac, which is close.

A separate vacuum flask can be purchased for further filtration. 4) Lower alcohols temperature with dry ice 5) Filter again (Using either vacuum flask or britta filter) 6) Consume alcohol This is how we made rot gut class 6 bottom shelf booze taste a little better.

How long did that filtration process take you grunts to complete? Youre talking about a group of people that drank hard booze every single night. The lab gear paid off. Room temp filtration was a few minutes per pass. Cold Filter was a lot longer due to the added glycol. Its like an 1hr long process usually. Plus, we could easily make high proof white lightning too. The monetary savings were pretty drat good too. Never got caught either.

Buffalo Trace is yum but this explains why my local big liquor store hasn't had any for a while, how sad. We don't get a lot of different bourbon around these parts and the other couple I've tried were garbage so just gonna stick with scotch until THEY GET THEIR poo poo TOGETHER.

Bulleit makes a pretty drat good bourbon. It's barely a bourbon, though, they use the bare minimum percentage of corn in the mash and put in a fuckload of rye instead so it's like some sort of weird hybrid whiskey. poo poo's tasty, though. I miss when I could drop 30 bucks on a bottle.
