This game is so unreasonably fun for being utter chaos and frustration at hitting the jump button and flying past the ball you were trying your damnedest to tap at least a little bit.

Just had a 2v2 ranked match where my (terrible) teammate eventually just rammed me for over half the match, letting the other side score 11 points, and then called me a "loving jap" and left. What an amazing community.

Between the three DLC packs and the fact that I got this game with PS+, I have spent about $10 on this game. If that $10 is not worth it to you, then you have some very weird expectations with this game.

I will go dedicated goalie when I spend the first two minutes of the matches getting rammed out of aerials and straight open shots. My amazing experience in these matches is that I have to act as goalie and forward, because my team cannot score, and if I leave the goal, they will never defend, and the opponents always will. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but it's the worst kind of impasse.

After some near-controller-breaking frustration in 1v1, I finally made my way back to Silver I. Going back to Solo Standard, I'm way better at ball control than I was. 1v1 Ranked really is great practice for this game, so thanks to the people in this thread for the suggestion!
