Why did you title the thread NCAA 13? Are we going to all try the previous version of the game to see if dynasties still work fine there? :)

I have a bye week. I'm about to try to get my recruiting done after it failed on me yesterday.

edit - drat, still getting an error today. Just rebooted my router/cable modem and going to try again.

Maybe it's not being used to recruiting in the game? If it uploads the changes to the server after completely finishing recruiting, it should save them. May want to go back in and check to be sure, or make sure the recruiting button has the green checkmark on it?

I haven't been able to do my recruiting here in two days still though.

JB didn't announce it yet here, but we're in week 3.

Dubious, we have a game. When is good for you?

edit - Actually, it looks like you're on AP. Is that staying, or will you be able to play? I will play the game now if you're on AP indefinitely.

Hey Dubious, I'm going to go ahead and play the game. If you do decide to return, we can wipe the results and play it the right way.

edit - #2 Michigan over #4 UCLA, 49-14. Each team had a lost fumble, but outside of that, it was the Michigan defense that kept their offense on the field enough to make some really great TD passes. (TOP was almost even, but I had a WR with 233 yards on 11 receptions with 2 TD, with a long of around 71 - just busted coverage, no QB scrambling shenanigans - and something like 5-6 total sacks that really made it difficult for UCLA to get anything going) Subbed in my backup QB and HB in the 2nd half along with the entire defense - the recruiting classes I've had have me in a really good spot for that.

But I could tell that UCLA was a really tough squad, so Dubious, I am 100% cool with playing it over and giving you a fair shot to take me on.

Sorry, I wasn't sure if you were still playing the game any more, when I saw you were on AP I thought it was because of not continuing the subscription to XBL (but I might have mixed you up with someone else). I also saw you in the "Who's Online" on the subforum after I had posted, so I thought you had skipped over this thread on purpose.

JB did tell me to wait a few days to see if you'd post but that he'd wipe it if you did post to say you could play if I went ahead, so I'm sorry about that - I should have just listened to him. I thought that since you were on AP rather than your previous week's game getting simmed that it was a long-term thing. :(

I don't think I got any special info out of the game that will give me any advantage - I'm not that kind of strategist. Hopefully we can get the game played still and hopefully no hard feelings.

Again Doobie, want to apologize! (and to JB too, since now you've gotta deal with it) I was in a bit of a manic mood last night (been working crazy hours) and got it into my head that playing a game would help me get to sleep. I didn't hold back at all this time (though I did play all 3 of my QBs).

#2 Michigan over #4 UCLA, 66-3.

Starting QB Brown went 21/25 for 403 yards and 4 TDs, with another 2 rushing TDs.

Backup QB Thomas went 9/13 for 143 yards, 2 TDs, and one INT (only Michigan turnover of the game).

And then my future QB Bell went 2/2 for 52 yards, but went out with a concussion after maybe 4 total plays.

Defense racked up 6 sacks, 4 INTs, and 1 FF (not recovered, but it was on a KR, and pushed UCLA back to start around the 9 yard line where the ball finally rolled out). UCLA went 0/9 on 3rd downs and 0/1 on 4th downs, and actually had a TOP of 13:06 to Michigan's 10:54. Ouch.

#2 Michigan over #9 Penn St, 38-15.

Good game, but Michigan's defense caused 5 turnovers and that was really all there was to it. Game started off wacky with a Michigan pick ending with an accidental lateral that was recovered in the end zone by Michigan, starting Penn St off with a 2-0 lead off a safety. That woke the beast within, Michigan went on a 21-0 run from there, and things got too out of reach for Penn St.

I almost got some revenge for the safety - got a pick on a 2pt conversion and probably should have been able to run it back considering how slow most of the guys were out there, but I couldn't figure out a path in time. But, at least it stopped the conversion!

With this new XBONE 360 backwards compatibility announcement, if NCAA is supported, any chance we can get back some of our old friends who had moved on and gotten rid of their 360s? Or did they all move to PS4?

Pretty sure Piper went PS4, I never see him log into XBL.

I forget everyone's GTs, the only ones I recognize that I remember playing with for sure are whatspeakyou and GPS Facial.

Of course NCAA will probably not be supported in this backwards-compatibility thing. Unless they actually are straight-up supporting everything. Would be amazing if in doing that, a bunch of people who got the One ended up buying the latest NCAA game once it works on the One and we get an influx of players and EA keeps things going longer cause of the moneys.

Not pictured: the 97 yard KR TD by Wright.

Michigan with the big win finally in THE GAME again, downing Ohio State 49-45.

Looked like Michigan had the game in hand, getting a KR TD in the 1st half, and starting the 2nd half with another to make it 35-21, but Ohio State ended up taking the lead 45-42 leaving only 50 seconds in the game. Michigan was able to make it down the field and score on a 2 yard run leaving 18 seconds left, and Ohio State threw a pick on the following rushed drive with no time left to end the game.

Wild game. GG ZSB!

Michigan r2a. Played it tight with Georgia, winning 35-28. Both first drives by each team was a KR TD. Then I mass subbed to start the 2nd half when I went up by a TD, but UGA was no joke, and tied it up somewhere pretty close to the end of the game. So I subbed back in my starters to finish off the last drive and win the game. (I really don't like restarting games, luckily these days rarely have to against the CPU, but I was worried on this one - of course if I had kept my starters in the whole way I doubt it would have been a problem)

Should have another great recruiting class, but looks like those of us who were all ranked 1-4 are all continuing to recruit well (and I can't imagine that will stop), so I think it's going to still be a rocky road to another NC for Michigan.

JB, who are the season winners across the life of this dynasty?

That is a very good question. From mere speculation I would say...

Season 1 - OSU
Season 2 - Michigan
Season 3 - Nebraska
Season 4 - Michigan St???
Season 5 - OSU
Season 6 - Nebraska

This is for the BCSCG winners. I've lost two championship games iirc.
I'm pretty sure I won either Season 3 or 4 but I could be wrong - I won the season where you didn't make it to the CCG but you beat me during the regular season. I can't imagine I won Season 2 unless I'm forgetting that this was a reboot, because I think it was Season 3 when my recruiting started getting insane (that first week where I had like 8 5* commits or something ridiculous).

USC hasn't won before? I thought it was either all OSU/Nebraska wins with 1 Michigan win, or the same but also with 1 USC win.

This is why I'm keeping track in my OPs. Now that the drat website is jacked slightly, can't get the stories from previous seasons.

I forget, if he's #3 or lower and I'm #1, should I immediately back off? If not, and it's a position you need Dubs, let me know and I will (unless I really need that position - or if it's included in the rules that I should then I will of course).
