quote:

Personality disorders[edit]
One study found personality disorders as described by the DSM overall to correlate modestly with I, N, T, and P, though the associations varied significantly by disorder. The only two disorders with significant correlations of all four MBTI dimensions were schizotypal (INTP) and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (ISTJ).[36]

INTJ supremacy

Arrogant - INTJs are perfectly capable of carrying their confidence too far, falsely believing that they've resolved all the pertinent issues of a matter and closing themselves off to the opinions of those they believe to be intellectually inferior. Combined with their irreverence for social conventions, INTJs can be brutally insensitive in making their opinions of others all too clear.

Judgmental - INTJs tend to have complete confidence in their thought process, because rational arguments are almost by definition correct - at least in theory. In practice, emotional considerations and history are hugely influential, and a weak point for INTJs is that they brand these factors and those who embrace them as illogical, dismissing them and considering their proponents to be stuck in some baser mode of thought, making it all but impossible to be heard.

Overly analytical - A recurring theme with INTJs is their analytical prowess, but this strength can fall painfully short where logic doesn't rule - such as with human relationships. When their critical minds and sometimes neurotic level of perfectionism (often the case with Turbulent INTJs) are applied to other people, all but the steadiest of friends will likely need to make some distance, too often permanently.

Loathe highly structured environments - Blindly following precedents and rules without understanding them is distasteful to INTJs, and they disdain even more authority figures who blindly uphold those laws and rules without understanding their intent. Anyone who prefers the status quo for its own sake, or who values stability and safety over self-determination, is likely to clash with INTJ personality types. Whether it's the law of the land or simple social convention, this aversion applies equally, often making life more difficult than it needs to be.

Clueless in romance - This antipathy to rules and tendency to over-analyze and be judgmental, even arrogant, all adds up to a personality type that is often clueless in dating. Having a new relationship last long enough for INTJs to apply the full force of their analysis on their potential partner's thought processes and behaviors can be challenging. Trying harder in the ways that INTJs know best can only make things worse, and it's unfortunately common for them to simply give up the search. Ironically, this is when they're at their best, and most likely to attract a partner.

I do wish that some RPG type game would use situations and the player's choices to figure out the player's personality profile so that it could pick a proper 3rd act twist to play on their character weaknesses.

How cool would that be? A game that locks on to you and then blows your mind.

This is all self selected anyway. If you're smart enough to barf whatever shitpost on gbs then somewhere in the back of your mind you're trying to juke the test and pick answers based on a preferred outcome. You're looking for external encouragement of behavior you wish you did.

E: the only true test of personality is to lock someone in a cabin in the woods with a revolver and single bullet.

That, or some sort of human Skinner box full of trolley problems and Sophie's choices

Other e: would anyone like to come to my basement?

Nah I'm too lazy to be an intj. I'm the one that correlates with retardation

Okay there was this game you could play at one college where you had to drag faces as quickly as you could into categories to see how racist you were. So, like, subconsciously you could see how racist you were.

I'd like to do the same thing with violence and porn to desensitized goons and track for various maladjusted behaviors

One of my Facebook friends did this, everyone answered earnestly and out of like 50 people only one rando was "S." The results here aren't that far away if you account for some people clicking on random boxes, which they definitely did. I'm INTP and gay.

INTJ reporting in.

When I was younger I was basically the stereotypical arrogant rear end in a top hat as described.

I like to think I learned to be less lovely. It does take a conscious effort to not be an arrogant dickhead and listen to other people before discounting their opinions out of hand. Also I never even dated until I got to college (which is when I started to consciously try to make myself less of a shitlord).

At my core, I'm still an rear end in a top hat though. Just learned to filter it better so as to not be socially retarded with normal people.

I wish they'd ask you questions like "how much is in your bank account" "how many professional references could you produce?"

And give you results like "manbabby" and "gently caress up"

Or for bonus points they could ask you what your parents make and see how much of a failure you are in their eyes

it's probably because his introvert/extravert and int/obs are pretty borderline. that's normal though. That's why I said I liked the sliders, it gives you more of a range versus just like 'you are solidly an introvert!'
