One of my favourite parts of previous games was adding in authentic goal songs and break in play tunes. I want to hear SHE'S MY CHERRY PIE when I line up for a faceoff damnit.

It's a nice gesture and all but they should really keep the terminally ill child superplayers out of Dynasty mode and stuff Or at least have a checkbox to have real world players only

I feel like the NHL games have had demos before where everything felt fun and solid, then they do a full release tuner update and it all goes to poo poo. Maybe I just didn't spend enough time with the demos for all the flaws to show up though.

I'm actually considering getting a PS4 if this game turns out to be good. I haven't played a NHL game since 13 and I'm getting an itch for it. If only NHL games were on Steam, I haven't missed owning a console at all except for hockey.

I've been playing N64-era non-EA hockey games since I got a flashcart, NHL Breakaway 98 and Blades of Steel 99. The graphics are a mess, it's amazing we could play these games back in the day. The actual gameplay has it's moments though, it's interesting going back and playing a game where the goals aren't crazy dangles and landing a huge hit actually takes some doing.

Despite the fact that he scored 5 doing this, that rarely even seems to be open for me. I'm curious - is there some sort of confluence of in game strategy settings (the up/down and left/right d-pad initiated options) that causes one of his guys to permanently camp in the high slot and none of my CPU defenders to skate in front of him? That I'm just not aware of? Was there no way you personally could cover the open guy camping out in the crease?

Got the NHL 16 PS4 bundle a few nights ago. So far I'm enjoying the game, messing around with HUT. The only thing that drives me crazy is when your D skates backwards for no good reason
