BAEST MODE!!!
Welcome to Season 19 of the Goonweight GP! Every week you'll see a new UFC card posted, you'll post your picks, then you'll watch the show and have more fun because some guy you've never heard of can net an extra point if he can finish this before the end of the second round. You'll have even more fun when the judges rob someone and you get points for that.

BlueDeanie was forced to step aside prior to last season due to a hit and run, but as the continuing head of the PSP Non-Athletic Commission I would like to thank him for his service and for making me the Season 17 champion in exchange for taking this position. Update: I also got to win Season 18 due to corruption. I'll be handling Season 19 and I am hoping the RNG wins this one.

A few days before every card, I'll post the fights on the main card with a FORM and a SPREADSHEET. Fill out the form (or post you picks in the thread), and then check the spreadsheet to make sure your picks are in there correctly. When the card is over and I sober up, I'll calculate the results and post standings, along with a link to the DATABASE that maths everything out. Check the database to make sure it's calculating properly.

:siren: CERTIFIED RULES OF THE GRAND PRIX :siren:

  • Picks can be submitted via the Form, or in the thread, though I prefer you do both.
  • Picks must be submitted before the start of the Main Card to be eligible. Picks submitted after that point are considered null and void. Please pay attention to time zones, especially for European cards.
  • Same goes if you edit a post with picks in it after the main card starts.
  • If you wish to change your picks before the main card starts, make a separate post in the thread and I'll update the Form for you.
  • Points for each match are scored as follows
    • 3 points for picking the winner correctly
    • If you picked the correct winner, 1 bonus point for calling the round the fight finished
    • If you picked the correct winner, 1 bonus point for calling the method of finish (KO or Sub or Decision)
    • A fight that end in decision is not considered ending in a round
    • "OTNs" are given out for correctly picking the Fight, and the two Performances of the Night. These award no points, but are used to break a tie at the end of the season
    • On each card you can pick two POTN. If you pick the same person twice, I'll manually delete one.
  • Commission reserves the right to award no points for a fight based on really weird situations
  • Whoever has the highest combined score at the end of the season wins!

Too confusing? Please consult this handy flowchart to determine your score for a fight:

Here is the current season lineup:

SEASON 18

Upcoming Cards
UFC 187: Johnson vs Cormier
UFC Fight Night: Condit vs Alves
UFC Fight Night Boetsch vs Henderson
UFC 188: TBA vs Werdum
UFC Fight Night: Champion vs Penne
UFC Fight Night: Machida vs Romero
UFC 189: Aldo vs McGregor

That's right, another SEVEN CARD SEASON! I am pretty sure there is a one week gap between all of these shows so I better stay on the ball and get these cards up on time. We'll take a brief break after 189 because there's another two shows that very week.

UFC 187: Johnson vs Cormier

No points for an NC or draw, traditionally, essentially making the fight moot. At the discretion of the goonweight commisioner, a bad/weird ref call can be overturned as a NC that awards no points, but that has only happened once in goonweight history with Yamasaki's overturning of an Erick Silva ko as a DQ loss.
