Earlier we had a typical Monfils match, and now we just had a typical Kvitova match. So much talent being wasted. Kvitova played crazy today and yet is now ranked #2 in the world! With Kvitova out, I don't think anyone can stop Serena from winning. I don't think Muguruza can upset her again, and Ivanovic is always a bad bet.

So I missed Sloane Stephens' matches. Can anyone describe her playing style? Grind it out from the baseline? Serve and volley? What? I saw that she'd beaten Venus and then Serena avenged her sister.

That was an excellent tiebreak from Safarova. It sucks that they're basically playing for the right to lose to Serena, though. I figure Muguruza has the best chance against her in the final but even that is a massive long shot. edit: What are you doing Nishikori. He's terrible out there at the moment.
