The music track was playing really slow and the singers got out of sync, and then kept trying and failing to harmonize with one another. Bad bad bad. The game was a loving snooze too, until the 8th. I will say, however, the flyover by P-51 Mustangs was awesome, and it was followed by a moment of silence so the Merlin engines was just gently echoing through the stadium. Put a lump in my throat.

I totally don't understand the play that ended the bottom of the first for the Cubs. I thought you couldn't throw to an unoccupied base without it being called a balk? Was Miggy running? I think my fundamental balk understanding is off but I'm still lost. edit: rule 8.05(d) posted:The pitcher, while touching his plate, throws, or feints a throw to an unoccupied base, except for the purpose of making a play. Not sure how this doesn't count.
