The Golden State Warriors are in their first NBA Finals in 40 years, having jettisoned Mark Jackson and hired...Steve Kerr??? Well, that worked beautifully and the Warriors were unquestionably the best team in the NBA this season. Cleveland went into the summer and hired David Blatt, who was supposed to be an assistant to Kerr, to bring Andrew Wiggins into the NBA and fit into a team led by Kyrie Irving. Then LeBron James decided to come home and we all poo poo our pants. The Cavs then traded Wiggins and things for Kevin Love, and while the Cavs' season has been much rockier than the Warriors' season, here they are. Of course, with The Finals, you have angles for every loving thing: Do the Warriors have enough EXPERIENCE YOU NEED THAT EXPERIENCE Will LeBron average a 40/10/10 and singlehandedly win it Will Steph Curry nail 126 threes Will Andrew Bogut and Timofey Mozgov pull weapons on each other at some point Will Mark Jackson be a source of derision because it turns out he really was a poo poo coach with a persecution complex Can TNT have the finals already If not can we at least give them to NBC so we can hear Roundball Rock Will we see good JR Smith or bad JR Smith Will David Blatt spend entire games looking confuzzled Will Steve Kerr be a salty dick like he was at times during the regular season Do the Cleveland fans know that they're destined to lose Does Klay Thompson know that he can't turn the O'Brien Trophy into a bong Does either Steph Curry or Klay Thompson know how dumb those goatees look I'm sure there are many others, but I don't want to have all of the fun. But I'm sure LeBron James will try his damnedest to keep it close and put up some kind of hilarious statline. Meanwhile, Kevin Love will look on from the bench with a sadface.
