I enjoyed the pilot. Looking forward to it. It was distinctly awkward for me with Elliot, who takes the type of 'parts of society are designed to take advantage of you' thinking, which I might be more sympathetic to than many... But kicks it up to an 11 on the Crazy Richter Scale. This guy is going to end up getting himself in deep with just the unintended backlash of the poo poo he's doing...

Spergatory posted:I mean, Jesus Christ, network. You're using social media to tell people who use social media that people who use social media are idiots. You, a pillar of society owned by a massive corporation, are trying to push anti-society rhetoric and claiming down with big business. Do you not see a problem here? username/post combo but really though I think it's all going to turn out that he's the real evil, so it's kinda moot personally i'd rather watch him 'stick it to the man' though

I met a dude in Austin, Texas one time and he skeeved me the gently caress out... Turns out he sold suboxone and injected bath salts. I guess he walked around his (shared living) apartment with kitchen knives. For protection. e: Elliot kinda reminds me of this guy

Spergatory posted:Personally, I'm hoping for a Reverse Fight Club. Robot and fsociety know about Elliot's mental illness and they're conspiring to gaslight him into thinking he's losing it for real. This would be an actual good twist. While most people could see it coming that they're not the good guys they paint themselves as, I'd also like to see them turn out to be an actual government honeypot, looking for people like Elliot who are probably involved in non-sanctioned fsociety-like behavior. If the rabbithole doesn't go very deep, I will be dissapointed as hell.

elliot is clearly slackin, their connect is out need to get her out on the corner quick... imagine this show taking that turn; elliot running an escort service anonymously through the internet.

he's pretty hardcore into his drugnerd junkieism... taking bets on how they're going to handle the 'no morphine' issue. 1) he goes out of his way to find a new connect and the plot moves on 2) blackmails a pharmacist into theft 3) disgusted in himself for finding vicodin acceptable 4) pays someone to go into drug rehab and get suboxone 5) Kratom FST hail mary on #5; i would find 3-5 more true to real junkies, but 1 and 2 seem in line with his character

Gordong Dongbay posted:Also please no member of the cast go on Monday Night RAW, for the love of god please don't. All the screens go to static and a faux-Anonymous video message with mask. As the lights go out, Rami Malek uses this time to present himself on stage, blurry-eyed and wearing a hoodie. "Raw. Raw never changes."

Thanks for dragging up the drama that got the last thread closed in order to overgeneralize in a negative light. Adds a lot to the conversation. In other news, I'm loving pumped. I hope this continues to go down the rabbit hole. I feel like if they ever find the bottom to it, that's when the show will jump the shark permanently.

By the end of next season, everyone needs to be fsociety. Angela, the inside woman with a lot of tension on getting discovered by the illuminati president. Tyrell, clearly, the madman on a leash for when poo poo gets rough. Put Tyrell's wife on the controlling end of that leash, watch poo poo happen. Have Darlene make sure they're in line and on-mission. Whiterose as a shadowy ally in the conspiracy against the illuminati. Therapist somehow Will Grahams people for the cause? Her husband gets over his dog -- or they give it back -- and, uh, I guess he can seduce women for information? The dog has an itty bitty camera on its collar and they use it for intel. Except Angela's boyfriend, he doesn't seem useful for ANYTHING except causing the downfall. Seriously, as soon as you get wind he knows something, throw him under a subway car.
