Eldritch Tales, a game of Mafia

Maverick physicist Polton Williams has invited you to attend the inaugural demonstration of his Y-Scope, a device intended to push the envelope of scientific exploration by allowing us sight into a hidden dimension layered within our own reality. However, some knowledge is best left unknown as you will find out in, Eldritch Tales, a game of Mafia.

This is a closed-setup game of MAFIA for 13 players.

Rules:
Standard Rules Apply
You can talk after hammer though, the game is open at night.

Clarifications:

This is a mostly vanilla set up with the inclusion of some power roles.
The roles will be randomly assigned.
There will be events where you will need to nominate a player to participate. These events are not necessarily rewarding. You can only make one nomination during these events.
The night will remain open.

Eldritch Tales, a game of Mafia: Journey into Dimension Y

High on a hill where Polton wouldn't disturb anyone with his experiments, nor would he be interrupted. The lab had been converted to its present use, having originally been a lighthouse that overlooked the coast. Pulling up, warm lights blaze from a new addition, built in homey, Tudor-revival style. Undoubtedly, the living quarters for the physicist.

Williams himself greeted you as your arrived at his doorstep. He is tall and thin, wearing owlish glasses, a red bow tie and a tweed jacket. Those of you who know him personally have not seen him in a while and are surprised to see that he has aged considerably. His hair, once salt and pepper gray, is now snowy white, and dark circles frame his tired eyes. Still, he seems chipper, and greets each arrival with evident excitement.

Acquaintances new and old, you gathered at the rear of Williams' lab where he stood by a large and complicated machine comprised of twisting bulbs, strange gears, and odd lenses.

"Tonight, we take a giant step to unraveling the secrets of our world and the next. I'd like to propose a toast to the continued advancement of humankind and to all of you for taking the step with me. Without any further delay... I present to you... THE Y-SCOPE!"

When his small speech is done, he madly begins to wind the gears on the device. He darts to the other side of the lab flipping levers and switches on strange electrical equipment. The bulbs of the device begin to crackle with electricity, and a kaleidoscope of color fills the room, then suddenly... an explosion.

A rift to somewhere incomprehensibly horrible opens up where the telescope once stood and a writhing mass of fanged tentacles reached out and devoured most of Polton before disappearing altogether. Severed legs are all that remain of the physicist.

Journey into Dimension Y, Pt. I

Panicked guests outside of yourselves try to exit back through the entrance only to find themselves in some sort of terrible loop. The door opens up to about where the rift was and then they are back in the laboratory.

They spread through out the estate in search of exits while you waited in the lab. The house goes silent as if they were never there at all.

The addition you saw when you first arrived was connected to this lab. Although the others probably met horrible fates, surely you all wouldn't if you kept your numbers and stuck together.

Alternatively, at the rear of the lab behind the destroyed scope is a trap door that leads into a crawlspace. You can feel air flowing through the passage, but it's narrow big enough for one person.

Choose:
A. All of you exit west from the laboratory into the estate.
B. ##nominate someone to investigate the crawlspace first.

If you'd prefer option B you can just nominate a player or yourself. Majority or 6 hours.

You huddle around Roman Sheldon ready to end his life. However when you move to slay him, you find him invulnerable to your flogging. Sheldon remained unscathed and the day transitioned into night. You watch as the blood that covered him steamed away to places unknown leaving him completely clean as if he had never been covered at all.

No one died Day 1. It is now night, 24 hours to submit actions or intent to not take an action. Night remains open.

There wasn't much rest to be had during the night given that you were kept in this strange laboratory by extradimensional forces, but you made the best of it.

When morning came there were several bodies strewn about the room.

The scene comes to an abrupt halt when Williams' frustratedly tosses the books he had been studying. The tone of your group had grown morose with the death of your party members, but Kurtis Freeman wouldn't give in to inaction. He draws a gun and waves around with uncertainty before he set his sights on a target.

He aims the gun at Susan and fires. She staggers backwards before slumping to the ground, dying. Her body lay still in place for a time and you all look at Kurtis with anger and fear, but then Susan's body begins to shift into something horrible. Something not of this world.

One of you takes the book in hands and reads the words aloud. With the utterance of the last syllable everything in your field of vision begins to vibrate. You find yourselves unable to steady your eyes, as everything around you trembles until it is broken apart leaving only darkness as your sight is swallowed up in its entirety.

Then slowly light begins to spill back in and you find yourselves in a places unlike anywhere you've ever been. A nonsensical landscape appeared in front of you, shifting in appearance with each turn you took.

One thing was certain, you weren't in the lab anymore and you could feel the presence of something terrible drawing in on you.

A Strange Place
The situation had become dire. There were only five of you remaining and you knew that a monster was in your presence biding its time while you exhausted yourselves in this domain of madness. You begin to look at Mr. Shaw with scrutiny and find his claims don't add up.

Your environment responds to your suspicions and two columns jut out from the ground on either side of Arturo. As quickly as they had formed, Arturo's body was crushed between them. The columns sunk back into the ground and the only trace of Shaw's existence is a slick of blood where he once stood.

A Strange Place
You traveled until you found a place where the environment didn't rearrange itself. For the first time since you've arrived you felt you might actually be able to rest without having to be worried about being taken by your surroundings.

You set up shifts to rest, but exhausted you all fall into an uncomfortable sleep.

When you awake you find your numbers have thinned.

Shelley Macklin was a peculiar character, and a somewhat surprising acquaintance of the late Polton Williams. However, no one deserved Shelley's fate. Their body was mostly destroyed, a corroded carcass was all that remained.

Where Time and Space Separate
You continued to travel. It felt like you had been trapped here for years. Your bodies had become unfamiliar. Simple geometric shapes adhered to a wire skeleton. Nothing made sense anymore, but the will to survive kept you all going for as long as possible.

Finally, you come to a point where all the winding and shifting passages meet. A stone archway stood before you. Through its arch was the infinite expanse of space. When you concentrated on your fragmented memories of reality, the expanse would display the laboratory; an escape from this hell.

However, the monster among you still needed to be addressed. Gerald and Kurtis overpower Forrest, killing him at the archway. Forrest body lay there broken and bleeding, but he did not change into a monster.
