To kill: Daimon, Jergo (2)

To Keep Alive/Escort: Jorvan (1)

Whichever: Lucan, Clive (2)

Yet To Weigh In: Autumn (1)

Lucan is impartial as a character, but as the player I am tempted to throw my lot in with the Kill option. Though I'd rather see pd0t's vote before doing anything.

Yeahhh Autumn doesn't particularly give a gently caress :v: ve are nihilists, Lebowski; ve believe in nussing

I'm sure Autumn and Kressle can become friends if we keep her alive and stuff, and we may want to keep some people around to help out rather than just going genocidal on the whole Greenbelt (cuz who knows what the Sword Lords have in store, once our work here is done.) But I also don't feel strongly enough about it that I want my 'vote' to cause a deadlock.

The update schedule is likely to become a bit less reliable into the near future. I need to drive 200km/125mi daily for the next twelve weeks which will eat up two or three hours of otherwise free time, in order to have the privilege of working twelve hours a day. As a result I will probably be constrained to doing any real updates on Sundays, though will fit in commentary more frequently as it doesn't require time spent on Roll20 and maps.

It's only accessible by car but yeah half the reason for accepting the work is the reimbursements. $110 per day for mileage plus an additional $40 per day for food, over 55 days (before any potential weekend work) is a free $8,250 just in expenses. There's definitely an argument that it isn't free money in the sense that cars cost money to drive places but logic has no place here.

Could I ask that you turn down the LOLrandom a bit? It's starting to feel that it doesn't really matter what we choose to do because something LOLrandom will happen and take the matter out of our hands.

Also you should all get on Discord rather than IRC because it's much nicer and has stuff like a chat history.

This is a link that will take you to a channel on the server I've set up

https://discord.gg/0kADElUcDHf7m83N

and this is the general Goon gaming discord

We had a vote of kill vs don't kill and kill won (1 for alive, 2 for killing, 3 functional abstains), the only thing taken out of our hands was "We shoot her to death" in exchange for an amusing aside. We didn't really need another two out of game weeks of us going back and forth between "We should kill her!" and "But what if we bring her with us?" In any case I had the scene set up to murder her on the sly if it looked like Jorvan was going to win the group over to letting a vicious murderbeast come with us.

I'm unlikely to use Discord as it'd be just another chat interface I have to keep up with in addition to the group skype chats I'm in, the 2-6 irc chat rooms I'm in at any time, and the handful of text message conversations I have going at any time.

Both Waador and Trast access irc at work a good portion of the day and Discord is very clearly a Not Work thing with the whole "Voice and Text Chat for GAMERS" thing being the first thing that pops up on google.

I wouldn't call them random. They are likely enemies from the module that Waador put his own spin on.

And in regards to the sinkhole I thought it was a good way to end the issue without negating my roleplay of Jorvan or having anyone else literally behead the prisoner. Jorvan wouldn't have allowed a cruel death by being buried alive so there is also that argument circle that gets avoided. And come on, drunk dialing gods? :v:

So I'm taking control of the money portion of the Campaign Log and quick question! Do we wanna keep a hold of the golden stag amulet we got from Kressle?

Situation 1: We eventually get some disguise self shenanigans going on and can use the amulet as part of a bluff.

Situation 2: We sell it right now and get 100gp hard cash in addition to those we'll be finding as we kill our way through the Staglord's band.

Situation 3: We hold onto it for the long term and potentially get more cash from the government in the form of a bounty after we've wiped out the Stag Lord + his goons. We'll have to buy the silver stag amulet back from Oleg to have the full set to hand in, as I do believe we already dumped it on him, but the prestige+extra cash we might receive could be potentially worth it. On the other hand the government might be like "Hey Thanks!" and just take it all from us leaving us with nothing but a cash payout.

e: There's another 10 lieutenants out there so that's potentially 1100gp + the silver amulets from their sub-lieutenants we can snag.

e2: I'm putting all gear sales under a separate column for Oleg so we can draw gear and such from him. He doesn't really have cash right now and we can use that tab to expand on his business down the line, take items from him without using our hard gold, or draw cash from him later.

I got him outside of burn-via-oil range, but it's kinda up to the DM how the fire is gonna work after taking a swipe at 'em. I don't mind risking OA by moving out of attack range if Lucan needs it to stay away from the clearly impending fire, but it's up to Waador how this part plays out.

What I should has said was that I planned on using Burning Hands to ignite the oil. Unless Waador is going to rule that my radiant damage spells can light oil on fire.

Successful Businessmanga

So situation question, since it's beginning to get dark has anyone lit up a torch? :v: I imagine our human compatriots(that don't have devil eyes) would still like to be able to see 100% and I imagine the horses would do better walking through the woods in the early evening with some light.

I reckon lighting the beast on fire isn't going to hurt us any, extra damage is extra damage especially when it's ongoing. I can have Britzke keep dive bombing the thing with oil flasks to keep it burning freeing Jorvan up to do something more damaging.

If it does get set on fire it's still taking 5 damage a round after resistance for being oil soaked in a fire, which while nothing amazing is still bonus damage. I don't think it's worth Jorvan blasting it with burning hands for really minimal damage when he has guiding bolt, but if we've got a torch or 2 I can use catapult on one and light the thing up with bludgeoning included.

Hex requires an action to cast.

Successful Businessmanga
Mar 28, 2010

quote:

Hex
1st-level enchantment
Casting Time: 1 bonus action
Range: 90 feet
Components: V, S, M (the petrified eye of a newt)
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hour
You place a curse on a creature that you can see within range. Until the spell ends, you deal an extra 1d6 necrotic damage to the target whenever you hit it with an attack. Also, choose one ability when you cast the spell. The target has disadvantage on ability checks made with the chosen ability. If the target drops to 0 hit points before this spell ends, you can use a bonus action on a subsequent turn of yours to curse a new creature. A remove curse cast on the target ends this spell early.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd or 4th level, you can maintain your concentration on the spell for up to 8 hours. When you use a spell slot of 5th level or higher, you can maintain your concentration on the spell for up to 24 hours.

You've still got a turn to take :v:. Using your bonus action to cast a spell locks you out of any other levelled spells, I don't think you have any slots left at this point anyway so that's irrelevant, but it does allow for you to make a followup cantrip/weapon attack to take advantage of the fresh hex.
