ep 1 premiered on HBO last night in an attempt to fill the void left by modern masterpiece Game of Thrones. the burning question on everyones mind is: will true detective live up to season 1? i cant really tell so far. theyve replaced matthew mcconnahey (sp !) and wood harleyson (sp ??) with colin farrell and vince vaugn from swingers. theres also some other characters, including a lady cop. it seems more complicated than last season but i am willing to keep watching.

What I personally liked about season one was the teamup between two awesome actors who, in the show, were polar opposites and how they played off eachother and stuff. I gotta say I'm not confident in this new cast at all

The first episode was boring, Vince Vaughn and Rachel McAdams are bad actors. The camera spinning around the four main characters at the end was dumb. I think they missed what made the first season good. I bet its Vaughns character that had Farrell's wife raped so he would have leverage to make him do poo poo. Colin Farrell's eyebrows are a pretty bad actor. Although they were pretty good in In Brughes. Vince Vaughn is just lol though, even that other bad actor from the google movie would be better. Owen Wilson, that's the guy. Gonna watch episode one today but I am not pumped at all!

Vince Vauhg was good I dunno what everyone is going on about. The problem will be direction. It's a different director which is what made true detective phenomenal instead of great. after 20 minutes in season 1 I was all in. It was the car ride where mchananheu says "you serious? im not a fuckin nutcase" when woody asks him not to talk all the nhilist poo poo in front of the kids and wife that didnt happen this first ep of season 2. but uh, ill keep watching. basically, this season isnt self-aware yet whereas the first season did

You know what really added to the show? The music video near the end. Or making your female lead a bad rear end by having her mumble all her lines. The problem with - Vince Vaughn. Is that he - you know. Talks like - this. Maybe. If he spoke - complete - sentences. Without - - pauses. It would. Be bearable.
