It was stupid that they had one 10 minute flashback scene in the first episode and then never again. Like why even bother with that one scene?

Everything about Miami just turns into that one episode of Hulk Hogan's reality show where he was in Miami and his whole family was pissed off that no one spoke English and was having difficulties buying a sandwich despite the buying of a sandwich itself being lame and certainly not requiring any language usage at all anyway. There are a lot of cool storytelling flourishes you could draw from in a Miami setting: Neon poo poo Strip clubs Cuban culture Immigrants Cocaine Cigarette boats The heat Muscleheads High-end sports cars The beach Resort moguls Palm trees But you could do the same thing with literally any setting: there are interesting details anywhere you go. The lack of which was not what made season two so hard to follow.
