Pretty much a crapshoot between Toews/Kopitar/Bergeron re: defensive forward prowess, good for Bergeron.

Wasn't it like last year when, during the time he and Chara were on the ice in even strength situations, they gave up a total of one goal?

The voting for the Norris is spectacular. Players who got a first place vote include Ryan Suter, Dustin Byfuglien, and Niklas Kronwall.

Thank you for showing me those Norris votes. Not voting for Hedman is a crime.

And, the Jack Adams award aka "the coach of the team that looked lovely in the preseason but had a good season"

ThinkTank
Oct 23, 2007

Just rename it the coach of the team that most exceeded pre-season expectations award already and be done with it.

Spring Break My Heart

Doughty got a pretty significant number more first place votes for losing (and while close it wasn't wire to wire like we've seen in some award races before), Karlsson won on people's 3rd/4th/5th place votes. I can guess the reasons why but that's still vaguely interesting as far as NHL awards talk goes.
