obviously some animals are more intelligent than others. crows, for example, r supposed to be smart af. killer whales as well. and of course elephants. anyway, how intelligent would an animal have to be before you'd feel guilty killing it?

I think all animals are more intelligent than people. Call me crazy, just a feeling I get.

I feel bad about killing any of them but I usually only kill spiders because they're horrible.

Pretty much anything as dumb or dumber than a bear, I guess.

I won't even eat octopus anymore because they're such neat animals.

Smarter than a horse or dog, not as smart as a dolphin.

When you say killing it, do I have to be personally responsible for it's death like I actually had to slit it's throat or something or can it be like general non-legally culpable negligence and callous disregard for their safety, again, in a non-legally culpable way. Because I would be ok if like a bodyguard took a fatal bullet for me or using someone as a human shield or something along those lines.

In the moral or legal sense? Because as long as I'm not convicted I'd be fine with human.

hmm, i did some research into this and something extremely troubling came up

quote:

According to research, a middle aged pig can be as smart as a three year old human being and they know how to adapt to complex environmental situations because they have the ability to learn new skills easily.

i probably wouldnt kill a 3 year old human but pigs are very tasty.

i never expected this thread to rise such life questions for myself
