when i worked in a large kitchen the chef called in sick so i started all of that days recipes while another chef came in one of them that was going to be a seafood chowder was only a lot of roux when he arrived and he took over some time later he called me over to taste the soup since he doesnt care for seafood chowder dumbass never turned the temperature up from the roux stage and put me in agonizing pain for 3 days

food poisoning definitely does exist, but a lot of times people will just vomit for a day or so or get diarrhea or both and say they have food poisoning even though they don't it's just like how people get colds and say they have the flu, it's pretty obnoxious like you can bitch about being sick without having to pretend it's a life-threatening illness
