Actually, collecting and restoring classic American cars is a somewhat popular hobby in rural bits of Norway (urban folks don't have space to keep all those cars) and around here all the enthusiasts from a wide area gather every fourth of July to cruise around slowly and look as cargo cult-American as they can. So yeah, it's celebrated a little.
