This could be really interesting or really, really horrible. Hmm.

I'm a sucker for intriguing introductions and "waking up on a space ship with an invisible alien killer" isn't a bad one, but there's so many ways for this to wind up horrible.

This is why bad sound design can totally ruin a game. That radar ping is so high-pitched and annoying.

Compare/contrast Alien: Isolation where you often don't see the alien anyway.

The other interesting thing about Extermination was its Infection meter, something you had to manage separately from your overall health meter. Maybe it was an extra complication to worry about, but hey, very few Resident Evil games ever bothered with showing the protagonist as vulnerable to the thing turning everyone else into zombies.
