the stress test is loving STILL ongoing at 79mb, it's been like 5 god damned days that these guys have kept bitcoin transactions either needing to wait 14 hours or pay an extra 15 cents per transaction. if anyone was using bitcoin as a currency this would be an inexcusable failure of the entire protocol, but no one is using bitcoin.

i imagine it was pretty close to the minimum fee (0.0001 btc or around 3 cents). i think you can set a smaller or no fee, but it transmits at a significantly lower (or ignores) priority.

Has anybody mentioned that litebutts just got into the dump part of apump&dump? The price dropped like 40% once the most obvious pumper/ponzier in history (he ended up with 22% of all newly mined coins, at least) was discovered via checking the loving public distributed ledger (and a leaked video) and decided to get rid of his bag.

His transactions are like a million pages of this, from people "investing" 500 coins into his ponzi:

It's ok folks, let's regroup (self.litecoin)

At the time of posting this LTC is at $4.25, where as when I went to bed last night it was at $8.80. I bought a large sum a few days at 6.24$ so I'd be lying if I said that what we are seeing today didn't scare me. But to be honest I think we all knew a backswing was coming. I mean come on, did we seriously think that this rocket ship was going straight to the moon without a hiccup? This is a bumpy ride and we are in our 1st bear trap of 2015. This happened in the preceding weeks of Nov. 2013 and it's happening again. I'm not saying that $48 is certain but the whole "perfect storm" idea we were coining a few days ago is still going. Chinese markets have not recovered, Greece is still looking awful, halving is in 40 something days, and LTC is still the largest altcoin by a long shot.

Stick through this folks, we have yet to see where this is really going to go.

[–]NattyLiteCoinLitecoin Miner 5 points 14 hours ago

No bullshit GCM, that poo poo could have EASILY been pumped far surpassed $9. This could have been merely a trial run for the next pivot point.

quote:

[–]marcus13345 3 points 1 day ago

I'm relatively new and haven't seen behaviour quite like any of this before. Is it normal for, after the panic, the price to come back to where it was before?

[–]break_wind 12 points 1 day ago

totally normal... in a week LTC could be $11 or $3.

[–]marcus13345 2 points 1 day ago

well that's good to hear, im currently in long from 7.50 ish and went to sleep. woke up to this mess and got very worried.

quote:

yeah, corrections are normal. LTC is not dead and it was crazy oversold but 50% correction is nothing crazy.
