Arguably, the two most important events in New Zealand history are the establishment of the nuclear-free New Zealand Zone and the release of the seminal film 'Once Were Warriors'. This design represents both of these important events. The colours are based on the universal symbol for nuclear warning. The image reminds us of Southside of Bombay's evocative song 'What's the time Mr Wolf', which has underlying politically charged symbolism in support of nuclear-free New Zealand. It also made it to number three in the New Zealand charts when it was re-released on the 'Once Were Warriors' soundtrack.
