I just checked out the latest update and the launcher... is not bad? I had the direct launch forever but I do like how I don't have to keep typing info in each time.

Although, I only have 1 acc so not sure if it's *that* bad with alts or not.

So I have no idea how character progression in this game works, but if the grind and the lag are better than when I played a few years ago I could give it a shot. Would the recent Evie update change how I would build her from how a guide would say to? More into staff than scythe, I'm all about casters.

The lag problem varies. Vin is infamous for being poorly optimized and for S2/3 you will probably experience FPS drops even on a modern PC. Also, it helps a lot if you can host your runs/raids.

Right now staff is closer to the traditional idea of a mage with a variety of spells and it's a good call if you want to play since the revamp improved everything.

For a AP guide I did INT, Magic, and CRIT masteries all at rA. Next for spell types I did fire > ice > elec and their respective skills. Finally, the SP skills don't improve that much but it's nice to rank them if you have spare AP. Although I did like 1KO-ing bosses with Rage Conductor.

So I finally came back a few days ago after being burned out by Regina. But whatever. The point is that I needed to play catch-up on the story and no one is interested in helping me when I need it. So, I had to solo the first two Ben Chenner Trailhead battles, duo the third with someone in the same situation as me, then solo the fourth. I did not want to solo the fourth. That's Akadus. Akadus is an rear end in a top hat. I checked for boats several time and never found one. I put up boats several times and no one joined. So, I spent 55 minutes soloing that battle. I burned trans, all of my merc pots, and four graces.

Once per day, you can buy 100 special fishing rods for 1,000 gold. I can't believe I've been missing out on easy fishing dang iiiit

You didn't miss too much. It was a bunch of rigged bullshit. Each rod let you catch 1 fishing trap which contained a "random" item that could be a good enchant scroll! (not random, and you never get the scrolls) The best thing I got was 1 merc potion.

I've gotten a bunch of element stones and element stone mats out of them, and you get fish eggs that you can use for pet food (if you ever use pets).

Maintenance happened today. Nothing interesting was added, but there's now a preview of what's coming up next: http://vindictus.nexon.net/news/4480/update-preview-season-3--episode-3. There's an Angry Teen Glas raid and he unlocks a new set. A leather coat over plate armor lol what.

Also, they're reworking armor and removing a lot of gender restrictions on gear:

Does she still stuck? I thought Korea holds her pretty high up, that's probably assuming high attack speed; she's a huge money sink.

I don't like season 3 too much and I didn't like the end of season 2. Regina takes a huge poo poo on me constantly, so I don't really enjoy fighting her. I still think season 1 is the funnest, but I can see why keagan and lionus would be huge assholes in-era too

Keaghan and Lionotus are still assholes. Regina is a pain, but the Braha Men are much easier to deal with. Figuring out Lord Glas is a matter of being able to handle Classic Glas's moveset and the gravity well trick. You're right about the end of Season 2 being terrible. Ulchas is a jerk-rear end and I'm pretty sure 70-80 Cromm is borderline unbeatable unless someone in your party has merc pots or graces.

Yeah the forest is pretty well balanced and those bosses are fun to slice in half.

The game only really sucks because of elitism imo. Like if you're not with the in crowd of beating brand new stuff as it comes out you'll never get to. Like cromm as you said, no one is going to run that poo poo for some random newbies, hell I only beat it because of goddess grace events. And with instant death mechanics you can't even just power level past it like season 1. I haven't even beat r blood lord or succ queen.

Blood Lord 2 is a lovely terrible fight so you aren't missing anything there at least. Also you can do those on normal where you can rez people.

I stopped doing Niflheim after I went into Blood Lord 2 with a full group of level 80s and we took off four health bars in an hour. If we hadn't tried on normal we would have wiped in the first ten minutes.
