I would guess that most of them were renewing their vows, rather than actually getting married. When RuPaul's Drag Race did something similar, only one of the couples was actually getting married.

I felt bad for the blue electro shock bride, who said, "Just make me hot," and instead they completely disfigured her face.

I found it a bit odd that they chose to make the gay couple into a man and a woman.

I loved the yarn make-up, probably one of my favourites on Face Off.

Well the one that was the woman said in their own video they do drag often so that's probably the only reason they went with it. I also don't think its fair for people to say Missy is about painting dark and stuff because her partner on the siren one is the one who decided to black out the whole bright and yellow head piece.

The guy that they did as a woman of the gay couple is a professional drag queen and competed on RuPaul's Drag Race, and the couple said in their video they often went out with him in drag, so as a gay myself, I thought it was just honoring his art form. What I did mind was how hideous they made him look. This on top of the travesty the very same drag queen suffered on Skin Wars where the body painter gave him a crumpled newspaper rear end. I like Nora (admitting, of course, that I'm usually biased towards the gay contestants) but I wouldn't be surprised if she got eliminated.

I agree that the yarn cat lady couple makeup was great, though. Such an original concept and mostly great execution.

The drag queen is also a very talented makeup artist, so I'm sure he was dying inside knowing he could have painted it so much better himself.

I kind of hated all of the makeups from this week.

I think the wood and water one would have been great... for a different challenge. I didn't see anything morbid about it, but it wasn't terrible, so I think that's why it was safe.

The yarn one was my favorite and it deserved the win.

Same. The ep felt weird and kind of tasteless. Can't really put my finger on it. I guess the gay guys being into drag makes that somewhat less bad, though at first I was rolling my eyes, "of COURSE they decide to do drag for the gay couple". Whatever.

I liked both of the top looks a lot. The cat lady and yarn beast cat were adorable and a good concept considering "we like cats" is the only thing they had to work with. The electric couple looked like they would fit in Beetlejuice. Sucks that the heart prop didn't properly work.

This is a show for weird people who do crazy make-ups, they have Glenn Hetrick sitting as one of the judges. Do i think Missy looks silly? Absolutely. But so do a lot of people on this show.

While being able to describe her look as well, the name refers more to her attitude - she acts like a piece of ham. She's incredibly whiny, thinks she's awesome, and doesn't value the input of judges who are industry professionals and award winners.

Maybe she should be Lt Colonel Ham instead of captain...

I was equally repugnant in high school and for an unfortunate length of time thereafter. I generally reserve judgement until I see a personality, though, and hers has yet to demonstrate much beyond a vacuum of decency. She did help someone pull a mold out, so I guess they could be cherry picking to make her look bad but overall if that's the case it's working (and they probably don't have to try very hard)

Those attributes you describe are not "acting like a piece of ham" though, maybe if she laid there on a plate while I stabbed her with a fork your words would make more sense.

So by your argument, calling people pieces of poo poo isn't a valid criticism/insult because they aren't, literally, poo poo?

I am amazed Missy Munster has lasted this long on the show. She should have been gone an episode ago. Her facial expressions are horrid whenever she is on the reveal stage and has to go up to talk about her piece of work. It is like she is ready to burst out in tears at any moment and start blubbering with excuses. I feel like they sent home better artists than her since this season started.

No because people have said "he/she's a piece of poo poo" for decades and you're the first person to go "she's a piece of ham" and then you give ham attributes like everyone knows ham "is whiny". Like I get what you were trying to say as far as her "hamming it up" but the "she acts ike a piece of ham" was just cracking me up too much, sorry.

Not sure how I feel about focus challenges. It seems like a mix between spotlight and foundation challenges. It's a full costume but they don't actually care about anything but the face. I suppose it forces them to be more careful with their applications and paint, but then we have people like Meg who had zero detail in the facial features and had sloppy prosthetics. I wish Stevie had won because I took her as meek elimination fodder and I didn't expect the scale details carved into the face to work well.

As for Missy Munster, she didn't even get the dignity to be eliminated in the 100th episode.

I thought the daughter of Sherlock Holmes make-up was well done, but it looked too cartoony, better fitted to last weeks challenge. Both Don Quixote make-ups were really good, and either of them winning would be deserved.

Scarlet letter poltergeist wasn't bad, it was just really weird.

Absolutely. They had no business sending a couple of those people home that went, in my opinion; I don't know why they bumped them off so early. With the exception of that one guy with the shaved head; he seemed like he had talent but you could tell he was just being a cocky dick near the end, and I think he butted heads with the judges.

Face/Off is kind of odd in that they never seem to remove people based on one bad week, but more, on their overall record PLUS a bad week. That said Missy Munster never showed one thing of value. Not one.

Oasx posted:

I think people are mistaking her physical appearance (which isn't great, obviously) with her presented appearance. Yeah they often sport outlandish styles but she was dressed to make your eyes bleed, followed by your brain. Then she puts the cherry on top:
